Sign me up for this contest! I just recently became acquainted with SMBX, so I'd love to see how well I stack up as a beginner.

I request that bossedit8 be replaced as his scores are too generous. Good examples of this would be his scores of Kampfschiff - 1K (a level which everyone agreed didn't deserve to be in The Best) and Ludwig's Flaming Fortress.

He's a great judge. He didn't have half of the forum wanting him removed from LJ for being a dick about scores (unlike a certain person) and on DarkMatt's thread, although the poll wasn't exactly accurate, he was considered the middle judge. He gives nice long reviews explaining his scores as well.

Basically, bossedit8 says that fighting an unaltered version of any of SMBX's pre-programmed AIs by itself in a flat, empty room repeatedly is fun, and if you scroll down, you'll see more people than just me pointing out why that's dumb. In other words, if a level is boring due to repetition, like Ludwig's Flaming Fortress, bossedit8 will be more likely to give the level too high of a score, and it will result in a repeat of what happened with Kampfschiff - 1K.

I admit that bossedit8's reviews are good; it's the scoring I have issues with.
