Hi, I recently got a new computer, so I am back online.
The problem is, all of my SMBX files are on my old computer, which has a busted screen.
Do you guys know of any way to say, hook my old computer to a display and get my files? Thanks.

1. Get a Bluetooth or SD card
2. plug it into your old computer
3. take the files
4.plug it into your new computer.
5.enjoy.

No, that won't work.
You see, the color crystals in my old computer are busted, all it displays is black.

Uh, unless your old computer is a laptop, why don't you just plug the screen of your new computer onto it?

Sorry, I should have made this clear: both my new and old computers are laptops.

You could either spend money on a new monitor for the laptop or you could just open up the laptop and move the old hard drive over to the new laptop. Which isn't the easiest thing but hey, it works.

Do you have a TV with an HDMI port and an HDMI cord? Plug it into your laptop and connect it to your TV, then transfer your files.

Could using an HDMI cord and attaching your laptop to your cord to your tv work? Would it show something?

EDIT: Blank already beat me to that.

Seconding (thirding?) use of an HDMI cable.

Yes, I do, but don't I need to do something on the broken computer for it to display?

No it should automatically copy the display from your computer, as that is the default setting (for most computers).

Alright, if I can't get my old hard drive out I'll try that.

Why not try plugging it in first. It's less work. :/

You could take out the cpu and get a cpu adapter thing that lets you connect it to a computer by usb.

Well, me being stupid me, I took my old computer apart first.
I'm gonna get an IDE cord and get my files off, then I'll start work on my project again.
Time to lock.
