Skypiea Castletop official review

Design: 7.5/10
The first thing I noticed in this level is the perfect NPC variety, I didn’t see just 2 or 3 kind of enemies but didn’t see too many types of enemies either. The placement was really great too. For the enemies, Mario could use both the stomp kill and the veggie kill either. It was a really good idea in my opinion, because it have balanced the level’s difficulty in the case if roto discs are hard to avoid. Usage of layers and events is always a good point, especially if done well. Powerup vs. Enemy ratio was fair. Coin amount was good, but placement was meh. But there is a complaint about the boss: the player can abuse a koopa shell easily and defeat the dragon quickly.

Gameplay: 7.5/10
The fun factor of the level is high enough and it has some replay value. The difficulty was pretty fair in the entire level, there were no unfair or boring parts. The boss fight was medium without abusing the koopa shell, which I mentioned in ‘Design’. The level was obvious to get past it, but sadly lacked of bonus paths, so for linearity I’d say it is meh.

Atmosphere: 8/10
I like theme combination mostly, and this level wasn’t an exception . The pink clouds and the pink castle blocks did look good together. The level had a great scenery-placement, so the level didn’t feel empty. The music fitted in the level just right.

Score: 7.5/10
It was a pretty good level, keep up the good work

I do that because i think the boss battle is too hard, indeed it's easy... so i removed some hazards to prevent spamming NPCs. Also there are over 5 power-ups and a hammer (if you find it u r lucky), and i'm lazy to make a bonus room.
