No, it just has to be taken in SMBX or the PGE Editor. 800x600 is just the norm for those two.

The difference:
- in SMBX you can take screenshot strictly 800x600
- in PGE Editor you can take a screenshot of any size by two ways: 1) Screenshot of any wished area (F12 or Export into the image), 2) Screenshot of the entire section (File -> Export section into the image). Also the new feature of PGE Editor which allows to have a pre-defined initial size of selector (a yellow rectangle), usually used for easier taking 800x600 screenshots or screenshots of any other sizes
