I've still been helping with a lot of little things, like making new sprites for snake/wario, new outro/credits, and lot's of costumes for existing characters. I also helped a lot with one of the new ones, which I assume has not yet been released. Hopefully with the new release we will get a lot of feedback too, which should speed things up considerably.

My Windows 10 works fine with every function. Who knows when this will come out? It may be a few more months before it does. Just let them handle it.

2.0 update is not out yet again :S
So probably postponed again since was supposed to be out last friday on June 10th or more in a later future or probably not

As for now we need to wait for when Horikawa give the link because as for that state it's starting to be hard to give a time when it will be out.
Just one word finally we need to be patient, but for the releaser just say when it's done, only this is suffisent :) finally meh !

Idk if this has been asked before but when I download the beta and run the level editor, when i try to test, it says
"SDL Error: Could not create GL context: The operation completed successfully."
How do I fix this?

Hey all,

Suuuuuuper old SMBX fan here, haven't touched the game in a few years...ended up searching it up out of boredom and I'm amazed to find that the community is still pushing it! Anyways, I was wondering what this 2.0 version is exactly? I searched around but couldn't find much information on it. What changes are there, what additions have been made, is anything being cut from the original version? You get the idea. Any and all responses are appreciated, thank you!

Well the biggest changes are a new engine (PGE) and LunaLua.
Nothing much for the regular SMBX user, I'd say.

It's just that SMBX has so much stuff xD

There are a lot of new characters, I don't think it is not much for the regular user. Also a new game mode was mentioned in this thread (if that isn't some sort of joke like the one "mode" where every sound was replaced with Link screams)

You download them and then patch or fully replace your current SMBX. At some point though it may be automatic, since I know that's already possible for episodes

*In the new editor

You cant change the character you are testing as, and their state. It always defaults to small Peach.*
SMB3 bowser does not move*
When hit by bowser as small peach, you turn to racoon*

Try pressing 0 or 9. Also, PGE's engine is not complete, so use the legacy editor when testing a level.
