I'm not planning on getting Pokemon Sun nor Pokemon Moon.

The games had changed since Pearl, Diamond, & Platinum (In which I really don't like the 4th generation games that much!). Sorry!

So, Solgaleo is not Fire type and Lunala is not Flying type. Who would've thought? Solgaleo is Steel/Psychic - actually weak to Fire despite being a sun-themed Pokémon, and Lunala is Psychic/Ghost, which is kind of a terrible typing but whatever, it still has a good design and will probably end up being Uber in any case. Its ability is apparently a clone of Multiscale anyways, and you really can't go wrong with that.

This definitely helps to distinguish Solgaleo from Pyroar and Litten, which seemed like a bit of a risk before.

Also, the Rotom Pokédex could either be cool or really, really annoying.

Lunalua is actually 4x weak to dark. What a twist! And Solgaleo is like super weak to the Litten line because the evolutions are Fire/Ground.

That's not yet known yet, that Litten evolves into a Fire/Ground. None of the starter evolutions are, as far as I can tell.

Lmao, Lunala is quad weak to Ghost and Dark, and Sogaleo dosen't have any weakness that deals 4x damage on it.
How interesting, I find the type for Solgaleo (Steel) to be weird, like how does that have any inclusion with the Sun?

The information has been on the official page for weeks. The image files for primary and secondary typings for the starters are already online:
Grass | Flying | Ground | Fire | Water | Fighting

If you wanna check (just replace the '04' in the icon url when right-clicking the type):

Icons 7-9 were recently added and are Psychic, Ghost and Steel respectively.

We still don't know that Litten evolves into fire/ground. It could be Rowlet becoming grass/ground (which I actually think is more likely, since burrowing owls exist and Litten has nothing to do with ground).

I hope that new types will be added. Maybe the combo Ghost/Psych won't be so bad anymore with new types. Who knows?

That could be, but I think it would be weird to "steal" the flying or grass type from Rowlet during its evolution. Maybe the gimmick of the new generation is 3 types per pokemon? Though that would be a gigantic mess.

at least it's not a unique typing, like how they stole water/bug from surskit despite no other pokemon having water/bug.

I doubt that the gimmick here is three types, since neither of the box legendaries have three types - I would sort of expect them to incorporate them. And yeah, it really would be a gigantic mess. Dual-typed moves seem much more likely as a new gimmick.

the only reason flying press works is because flying and fighting don't share any super effective matchups, so it will never do more than 4x damage. Any other dual typed move would have to follow this rule, or else we'd be getting into 8x+ weaknesses (which is technically already possible with forest's curse, but that almost never happens). It's a bit overcomplicated, though, and i'd rather not see any more dual-typed moves.

I'd buy a Pokémon MMO, the gameplay system would work perfect like this.
This is how I imagine it would be...
You start in your home town with the usual copy/paste Pokémon story of you going out to catch Pokémon and battling team (insert uninspiring cult name here).
The first town would not have real people and would work as a tutorial for new players. Out side of the home town you would have you carry out an average pokemon story but with REAL people to fight instead of just soulless NPC's (but they'd still be their as gym leaders, road blockers, and cult members).

Too bad Nintendo is anti wifi
