This looks pretty Nice. Reminds of the Tileset used in New Great Castle Adventures Final Level.
Intrested into a look on my video? (I'd post my Characters as pictures here, but I don't want to give everyone the chanche to download my Characters and using them.)
Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass due to irl
& SMBX things happening in my life!
^_^"
LMAO the video takes no more than 5 minutes

it looks pretty busy and the pattern is distracting. I recommend removing those big blocks since they don't really make up a wall at all. Plus the overall background is very bright. I would darken it.

Okay, Will do that asap! I'll try to make this background darker with Genesis/Mega Drive color
Added in 3 hours, 4 minutes

it's not as distracting, but I would still use a different pattern. It does look more like a wall now though.

Okay, I was gonna add some pillars and some windows to this background, but okay!

Like, try to make the blocks more square. When you look at a wall, you don't usually see bricks with round corners.

Okay, I updated the
"Castle wall" background to square bricks instead of rounded squares! Might add some pillars and a few windows to this in the future!

For future reference: Outlines make things look solid. The more distinct the outline, the more likely people are to think of something as solid. Previous iterations of that background looked like a wall. Not using any outlines in backgrounds is generally a good idea.

What's this? Could I be thinking about making actual stuff for SMBX? Anyhow, feedback of any kind is more than welcome.
