People & communities rise and die out all the time. Just like broken toys get swapped out for new ones instead of repairing them,
it's no use trying to pretend to be part of something you hate or try to succeed in an elitistic environment which runs on highly egoistic
desires when in the end, it's all replaceable, worthless.

Heya. Welcome back! Just to catch you up:

• 2.0 is an extension on 1.3.0.1 and has a new (and better, more user-friendly editor), 10+ new characters, new NPCs, new blocks, and LunaLua which is a scripting language based off of Lua which allows for some amazing stuff and is easy to learn. 2.0 is open-source and developed by users who frequent this forum but are often more active on Talkhaus (some of them)
• 1.4 is a version started from scratch by some Chinese guy. It focuses on adding lots of NPCs, power-ups, etc. however the physics are off and it is not compatible with 2.0 or older levels. This version (also referred to as 38A) is closed-source and only developed by one person

2.0 is more reliable due to being open-sourced and should catch up to 38A's NPCs, etc. soon since 2.0 has to bypass some of the original code in 1.3.0.1 that limits the length of the NPC arrays (how many different types of NPCs there can be), power-up arrays, etc., however if I'm not wrong some great progress has been made on it. LunaLua is also some great fun and allows for lots of cool features. There are also APIs that allow you to use things other people have written to beef up your own level with some fun stuff like walljumps, New Super Mario Bros.'s invisible walls, timers, and tons more! Definitely check it out!

Also, the majority of people in this community seem to be using 2.0
