Will the Mario Goomba transform you into Mario when killed? (That could be possible via events if a Koopa shell hitting a player block turns you into the player, if not it's probably impossible).

some interesting nerd stuff, i experimented similar to the way wohl did. on the left is the way transparent (gray) masks are rendered in my program and on the right is the method smbx uses (blitting iirc, it mixes colors and stuff and makes garbled colors). you can also see the sprite and masks in the screenshot.
