we're not going to give you permission to use our graphics (yes i finally get to be the party crasher)

so apparently every RPG revolving around the community in some way is a TAOK RPG ripoff now? ok

And no the Valtteri face also isn't a reason to call it a ripoff.

Exactly. First off, Wind, you don't have to let him use graphics, but you can't copyright the concept because TAoK just so happens to base around the community too. It's like me saying "You can't breath in the air because I breathed out CO2 and a tree converted it back to O2". No, you can't do that.

Second off, you're TAoK RPG isn't currently being updated, because nobody has updated the damn thing. This, on the other hand, is being updated and discussed constantly, so don't say that this is a ripoff when TAoK RPG isn't even being discussed anymore.

First off, SnifitGuy, I never copyrighted anything. Why did you use the word "copyright" when I did not, in fact, copyright anything? The reason is the same as to why I used the word "rip-off".
Also, Martin just happened to started working on the game again. Maps have been added and a lot of gfx have been done.
And decreasing my reputation won't help that one bit, buster.

Second off, you're TAoK RPG isn't currently being updated, because nobody has updated the damn thing. This, on the other hand, is being updated and discussed constantly, so don't say that this is a ripoff when TAoK RPG isn't even being discussed anymore.

Rip off is more of a negative term (which i regret using) but still, rip off would mean stealing the spotlight and idea of a game.

At this point is more about using the Valtteri graphic without permission (I assume you didn't get permission to use it) and less about the fact that it happens to be a RPG with forum members in it.

Considering you said you would remove it and look for an alternative, this argument has no reason to continue.

1/3 screenshots have 1 AoK graphic in them. Otherwise, there is nothing else that has a similarity to TAoK RPG.

TAOK is the main concept in the TAOK RPG, however in this RPG it's about the SMBX forums. So since 1/3 of the screens are TAOK isn't that kinda copying?

It's pretty hypocritical for you to have a go at someone else for using characters when you didn't even ask me if I was fine with you using my works for your own RPG. And if you want to know, I am fine and have no problem with characters/locations from TAOK being used in fan works, but remember that I made them and therefor it's not up to you if someone else uses my material or not.

Yet still, Panda made the graphics to begin with, so regardless if it is TAOK, she should still have a say in whether other people can use the graphics she worked on herself, it doesn't matter if you made the characters or not.
