I'm more talking about would Ridley even comfortably fit on a stage.
"He's too big" actually became an internet meme during Brawl's development. You are definitely not the first person to think of this. Like Emral said, characters' sizes change to fit Smash. Olimar is supposed to be the size of a quarter, Kirby is 8 inches tall (mentioned in his Melee trophy, even, but he's bigger during actual matches), and Bowser is usually arbitrarily larger than he appears in Smash. He would just be scaled down a bit for this game and everything would be fine.Blueoak wrote:What no one seems to realize is that Ridley is too big for Smash.
THIS. SO MUCH THIS. I hate these people that say Ridley is "too big". This just sounds retarded. This youtube channel here has lots of good videos about Ridley: http://www.youtube.com/user/FeliciaFan444Pseudo-dino wrote:"He's too big" actually became an internet meme during Brawl's development. I don't think he's gonna be OP. All trailers make the main character in them look OP. Little Mac, like Sakurai said, is the worst character ever in the air, and is recovery is just terrible. I'd also expect him to be really light based in his height. Combine all of that and you have the easiest character to K.O., even Jigglypuff, a character that is really light, has amazing recovery, but Little Mac is light AND has a terrible recovery.Maruiki wrote:Little Mac is going to be OP as hell. They better nerf him. But who knows, maybe he's gonna hard to play as.
What are your thoughts on Little Mac?

My thoughts? Counter him using Charizard. First off, like Tepig, Sakurai and many others said, he's shit while in the air. Charizard will most likely still have flight and the rock smash ability. He also has flame charge which makes him charge to the side. It'll be easy to evade Little Mac using him and strike when the time is right.Maruiki wrote:Little Mac is going to be OP as hell. I have heard much about Chrom, and its not unlikely being that Fire Emblem has always had two representatives.elitalianoverde wrote:Well according to some rumors there's gonna be 9 more characters coming by: Ganondorf, MetaKnight, Jigglypuff, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, Captain Falcon, Ness, Falco, and Chrom (from Fire Emblem Awakening) and it's looks like the game is gonna be (Wii U) $59.99 and (3DS) $39.99. That's good news for me also the tripping mechanic has been removed. Not bad, eh?
I think you're joking but just in case you aren't, jumping and pound (side B) worked pretty well for me.Emral wrote:the amazing singing recoveryTepig2000 wrote:even Jigglypuff, a character that is really light, has amazing recovery
gets me killed every time
That word reflects more on the person using it than the person who was born with it and had no choice in having it.Tepig2000 wrote:I hate these people that say Ridley is "too big". This just sounds retarded.
It's the natural instincts which tell me that up + b gets me saved from falling off the stage with no more jumps left, as it works with every other character.Magician wrote:I think you're joking but just in case you aren't, jumping and pound (side B) worked pretty well for me.Emral wrote:the amazing singing recoveryTepig2000 wrote:even Jigglypuff, a character that is really light, has amazing recovery

I remember Sakurai saying "one-shot only" but I might be mistaken.Pseudo-dino wrote:To Tepig, I'm pretty sure you can recharge Mac's power meter after using the uppercut, so you could use the uppercut again if you filled the meter again. It's not a once-per-match thing as far as I know.
Yeah it might mean that too.Blueoak wrote:When he says one shot only he meant like once you do it the bar goes back down, hit or miss.
I'm fairly certain that Blueoak is correct. I'd be very surprised if it was truly one use per match.Tepig2000 wrote:Yeah it might mean that too.Blueoak wrote:When he says one shot only he meant like once you do it the bar goes back down, hit or miss.
No hopes of Ridley being confirmed as a playable now, he was shown to be a boss in Pyrosphere.Tepig2000 wrote:Hey guys, a guy at a Smash Bros. forum made a size comparison of how big Ridley should be in Smash 4 compared to Rosalina and Bowser. Sorry for the big picture, I don't know how to put things in a spoiler:
That's not true.Murphmario wrote:No hopes of Ridley being confirmed as a playable now, he was shown to be a boss in Pyrosphere.
