Yeah, it's the red potion warp thing. It looks like something that'd have the red virus in it. Or I could make a red swimming pool and let the red virus come from there.

That should probably be the last level. I think I could do that with grass. (Like the crimson :P)
OK then, I'll make the world 8 (I guess?) levels, I have two down.

Lel, I'm still trying to finish the so called airship level. I will make the boss have to do with ninji and a red potion.

All of that would be good for when the virus is super high and everything gets it, but I'm sorry to say that the ninji doesn't turn red only because he's the one with the potion. It's in the first level of the demo where he turns the koopas and goombas red.

I still suck at cgfx recoloring except for making really weird paint enemies.

Not bad. I just have one question. Is the messed up blocks part of the game?

What, the ones in the screenshots area??? Of course not. I wouldn't make happy bushes in the red virus :P.

I have the world names:
Green-ish Grasslands
Dirty Desert
Inhuman Iceland
Pine Perils
Mt. Acropolis
Olympic Air
Deadly Darkland
Crimson Cavern

So what do you think?

Well, I might change the names in the middle later, but I like the first and last one.

Hey I got a funny idea how about you make the world names all have a word for red? Like so:

1. Vermillion Valley (grass)
2. Ruby Ravine (desert)
3. Cherry Creek (water/forest)
4. Cinnamon Coppice (forest/pipe maze)
5. Maroon Marsh (Giantworld/Water/STILL FOREST LOL)
6. Scarlet Snowland (frozen)
7. Cerise Cliffs (sky/mountain)
8. Crimson Cauldron (dark land/lava)

Also someone made the potion BGO before me lol

Well, in the beginning the virus isn't that bad so it could be green for the first world. (LOL I'm not even really following any world system :P.)

I still think the last world should be it's own franchise of levels instead of just regular lava land.

Well it doesn't matter since he's not doing worlds.

I just thought it would be helpful to post the original screens (except the last one which doesn't appear to be in the demo) without graphical glitches.

Next, here are some of my opinions on the episode.
Spoiler: show
Now, I don't just want to repeat what everyone else has said, so I'll try to give as many specific examples as possible.

So, I don't think the ideas or design in this game are bad, but they just weren't executed well and it makes the whole episode look somewhat unpolished.
First, the world map.

Image

One of the first major problems here is that there is not enough ocean tiles surrounding the land, so in-game you can see the blank space, immediately breaking the immersion.

Image

Easy fix, as you can see.

There are also some graphical errors where you used the incorrect tiles at the top of the larger landmass, causing cutoff.

Image

Another easily remedied issue.

The next things, however, are not absolutely necessary, but will make your map look much more appealing.
First, consistency with the tiles filling in the land will make the map look more like the game the graphics came from.

Image

Also, the wave tiles make the ocean look much less bland.

Image

And, while by no means a requirement, it generally looks smother to use the curved path tiles and put the path background behind level tiles on land.

Image

Lastly, it also looks better to some degree if you expand and shape the world a bit rather than having everything cramped in a flat square like that.
Combine all that together, and you get this:

Image

Please feel free to make any of the changes mentioned above, but if you happen to want to use all of them, here is a file of the map above.

That's all for now, but later I'll go through in-depth each level and give you some tips.

If you upload a picture to imgur, there are multiple links at the right side. One says something with BBCode, you have to copy that and then paste it into a forum post.

Or do what I do and manually type in the BBCode and the image URL, lol.
