My one community contest level, Not-At-All Lost Woods. An example of why you should playtest your levels before sending them off. I didn't, and as a result, the jumps are too big to cross.

lawl xd ... can the judgings be found on the forums, or was it before CC7?
It was in Level Contest 8.

Discovering that new enemy or hazard is inatant killer the hard way. InstantKill=true NPC code in SMBX-38A is nuts!

Being with Yoshi in midair and then pressing A on accident, dropping Yoshi in the abyss. Sorry Yoshi!

Many years ago, I had this SMBX Episode Project idea and I wanted it to become real. It was my first actual project and I never actually had any experience with anything that would involve the creation of such, such as level design, or even knowing the limits of the engine at the time (There was no 1.4 or 2.0 at the time and I didn't know any other alternative). Back then, my favorite part of the development was to write up ideas and imagine how they would work out in the game. Truthfully, still looking back at then, they were very wacky and weird, and every time this project haunts me I can do nothing but remember the cringeworthy parts of it, haha :P

What's worse, I ended up posting the project here. Surprisingly, there was positive feedback regarding the ideas and this really made me happy at the time. I never actually finished the project, though, mostly because of the lack of motivation due to learning how my ideas were way too big to be executed in SMBX, and how I learned the hard way that game development is no easy task. Because of that, it's even more cringeworthy and kinda sad remember that I never really finished it, and probably never will. If any person who is reading this and remember this certain project, please excuse me for letting your hopes too high years ago. :(

Besides these, my behavior on the forums was kinda weird and possibly annoying too, and for me this is is the most cringeworthy part :P . I would also like to say sorry if I have bothered someone up to their limits.
Even then, I don't regret many of these things because in the end they helped me become a better person. I really thank this forums for becoming the person I am today.

If these projects taught you something then I wouldn't think of them as cringeworthy. Nobody starts out a master, and as long as you had fun that's all that counts.
