I hope my level's not being "DKC" related will be a hindrance. I think I found the graphics to a level I want to make for this I am Signed up for.

I need a majority to be DKC because this episode needs to connect both Mario and DKC.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I hope my level's not being "DKC" related will be a hindrance. I think I found the graphics to a level I want to make for this I am Signed up for.
Besides that one horizontal pipe, the ice level looks nice.Spider wrote:Hello everyone, here two screenshots of levels I designed for this lil' project!Spoiler: show

I wanted to avoid releasing any demos or using the hub for the demo, but both are valid ideas at this point. Seeing as though we lack the amount of publicity compared to other episodes the demo could help a lot.I'll make a new poll regarding this demo.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I can make a hub, or the Thwomp King could. I will not be able to make a hub til I submit a level to your contest, but yeah. If a demo is wanted, Should I make it a specific style, or is it my freedom? I am hoping to use a tileset that is neither Mario or DK themed, or of origin. Either way, I do want to make a hub that uses a tileset made specifically for indoors, so... It is your choice entirely since it is your episode. The Thwomp King wrote:Spider wrote:I see we have enough finished levels to build a demo of the episode. MECHDRAGON I'll leave you in charge of the hub, but don't do any work on it until after I get enough poll feedback. I want level production to be the primary focus for the time being.
Does SMBXpanded count, which is compatible with SMBX 1.3? (Legacy) It just has to be installed in your SMBX default graphics folder. (I.E. The graphics from Sednauir's SMBXpanded that rasied the content to have up to the next multiple of 100. (700 total blocks, and 400 total tiles. Also, 100 Level icons, and 100 paths, as well as 100 scenery.) Just want to know for the world map, and a few level I plan on making for this.No Luna related programs that aren't compatible with the legacy editor
Yeah that counts as not allowed too. For this episode I want level to be limited to only SMBX 1.3 since that's the program everyone should have.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I will not be able to make a hub til I submit a level to your contest, but yeah. If a world theme wins, then you need to make a hub loyal to that theme, preferably with Mario/DKC graphics. If the votes go to no world, then I want the gateway to each level to be surrounded by the graphics that are in that level. Otherwise the general area can be whatever for it's merely a demo and it can't show too much of level. Especially with the episode using a world map instead of a hub.

I was asking because it does not need lua at all. Just the blank graphics in the default graphics folder. (The blank graphics in the default graphics folder and it can be used (seen) with the oldest version of SMBX) but I will not use graphics above level 32 or path 32 or tile 328. Thanks for the heads up.The Thwomp King wrote:Yeah that counts as not allowed too. Maybe in a future episode I'll allow it.
