I hope my level's not being "DKC" related will be a hindrance. I think I found the graphics to a level I want to make for this I am Signed up for.

I need a majority to be DKC because this episode needs to connect both Mario and DKC.
So 1/4 of your levels can have solely Mario stuff.
Otherwise adding DKC NPCs shouldn't be too big of a change for levels.

Besides that one horizontal pipe, the ice level looks nice.

I wouldn't worry about that. Shouldn't be a problem at all.

Alrighty I got another poll up. You get three votes to pick the three levels out of the 17 listed that you'd be most interested in playing. I hope to see a lot of votes in the next few days.

I extended the deadline to the poll. Nothing will be done until there are at least 30 votes. XP

I see we have enough finished levels to build a demo of the episode. We should probably do an hub level and have at least 4 levels to showcase others what to expect.

I can make a hub, or the Thwomp King could. Since my hard-drive crash, I lost all my files.

I wanted to avoid releasing any demos or using the hub for the demo, but both are valid ideas at this point. Seeing as though we lack the amount of publicity compared to other episodes the demo could help a lot.I'll make a new poll regarding this demo.

MECHDRAGON I'll leave you in charge of the hub, but don't do any work on it until after I get enough poll feedback. I want level production to be the primary focus for the time being.

I will not be able to make a hub til I submit a level to your contest, but yeah. If a demo is wanted, Should I make it a specific style, or is it my freedom? I am hoping to use a tileset that is neither Mario or DK themed, or of origin. Either way, I do want to make a hub that uses a tileset made specifically for indoors, so... It is your choice entirely since it is your episode.
No Luna related programs that aren't compatible with the legacy editor
Does SMBXpanded count, which is compatible with SMBX 1.3? (Legacy) It just has to be installed in your SMBX default graphics folder. (I.E. The graphics from Sednauir's SMBXpanded that rasied the content to have up to the next multiple of 100. (700 total blocks, and 400 total tiles. Also, 100 Level icons, and 100 paths, as well as 100 scenery.) Just want to know for the world map, and a few level I plan on making for this.

If a world theme wins, then you need to make a hub loyal to that theme, preferably with Mario/DKC graphics. If the votes go to no world, then I want the gateway to each level to be surrounded by the graphics that are in that level. Otherwise the general area can be whatever for it's merely a demo and it can't show too much of level. Especially with the episode using a world map instead of a hub.

Yeah that counts as not allowed too. For this episode I want level to be limited to only SMBX 1.3 since that's the program everyone should have.

Maybe in a future episode I'll allow it.

I was asking because it does not need lua at all. Just the blank graphics in the default graphics folder. (The blank graphics in the default graphics folder and it can be used (seen) with the oldest version of SMBX) but I will not use graphics above level 32 or path 32 or tile 328. Thanks for the heads up.

Level Bramble Sanctuary looks very impressive :D This is a good idea for an episode. I love this game too and I'm curious what will come from this project. ;)

You can thank Camacho for that level! XD hahaha
And thank you for the nice comments. Just like the first DKC, this episode will be relatively loose with levels and the amount of bonus sections in levels. When this episode is done you should be able to get a good mix of playing both Mario levels and Mario levels with famous DKC environments, music, and gimmicks.

As a small update, I have three levels in progress currently, hoping to get my two incomplete levels in the Cave World done by the end of the weekend.

EDIT: 3-4 is complete, but I will try to finish 3-5 later this week.

Thank you!

Due to a lack of feedback from the beta testers to their assigned designers, I have cleared the beta testing list of people! If you wish to be added or added on again, please post on here or PM. It is expected as a beta tester to give feedback on levels within three days starting at whenever they first open the message from their respective designer.

Hope the future beta testers can do this well!
