Well, then it's fine. Rather minor anyway.

This looks like a nice level, hope to play this soon!Choco wrote:Another thing from my project.Spoiler: show
Kep just mixed 2-5 different tilesets without recoloring them!Kep wrote:oh great kep started another level that he'll never finish!!!!
Especially since some of them serve the exact same purpose. Also, why is there a tree (?) on the ship.Superiorstar wrote:Kep just mixed 2-5 different tilesets without recoloring them!Kep wrote:oh great kep started another level that he'll never finish!!!!
seriously though, don't mix tilesets if they don't look the same.
It isn't. It's on the unseen land behind it. (Notice the rock-ish grassland tiles "on top" of the ship)Nickname wrote:why is there a tree (?) on the ship.
I actually took it from that sheet. And yes, that is Krazykat on the mushroom. Original by Imaynotbehere4long and Capcom, outlines added by me.h2643 wrote:Some things look way too similar to this:

Anyway, that sprite of me is funny, haven't expected this! Oh, and is that Krazykat on the mushroom platform?
When the fuck did that retarded rule get made?Superiorstar wrote:Kep just mixed 2-5 different tilesets without recoloring them!Kep wrote:oh great kep started another level that he'll never finish!!!!

look at the colors on that airship compared to the pilars, their colors clash with each other, and the two grass tilesets have two different colors as well, and I wasn't implying that the color has no variety, it's just that some colors aren't compatible with each other.Kep wrote: When the fuck did that retarded rule get made?
And are you implying that I should make the level have no color variety at all? I mean that's what recoloring everything to look the same is, last time I checked.
Here's something to think about.Superiorstar wrote:look at the colors on that airship compared to the pilars, their colors clash with each other, and the two grass tilesets have two different colors as well, and I wasn't implying that the color has no variety, it's just that some colors aren't compatible with each other.Kep wrote: When the fuck did that retarded rule get made?

And jeez did you really have to make me look rude when you stated that sentence?
If the level's sole theme is being brown, you should probably recolor it. if it just so happens to be brown, you should take a color that doesn't look bad when compared to brown, especially no bright colors, maybe some darkish red or similar. Blue wouldn't fit too well imo since it's pretty bright.Radishl wrote:Here's something to think about.Superiorstar wrote:look at the colors on that airship compared to the pilars, their colors clash with each other, and the two grass tilesets have two different colors as well, and I wasn't implying that the color has no variety, it's just that some colors aren't compatible with each other.Kep wrote: When the fuck did that retarded rule get made?

The leves theme is brown and there's a monster that happens to be blue, should I turn him brown just because most of the gfx are brown?
The thing with levels now a days that piss me off is how everyone makes every single freaking thing in a level one single color.
