Okay, I've been playing a bit more, and throwing Birdo's eggs dosen't quite feel right. Like, the eggs don't fly very far at all when you throw them, and they often miss when thrown close to her (especially in the air). It'd be nice if they could go like, say, 2 blocks farther.
Feel free to make your own per-level or per-episode code that adjusts the throw arc of birdo eggs. We're keeping throw arcs from 1.3 for compatibility's sake.
Oh yeah, I forgot about potential compatibility issues. I'll keep that in mind with any future suggestions.

I'm getting this error whenever I try to play (through selecting an episode in the launcher of testing a level in the editor):

However, the lockdown.lua file is present in the folder stated in the error message.
And one time SMBX crashed after this, giving me this log:

So that error message doesn't mean what you think it does. The issue is that you're trying to play an episode that makes use of "encrypt.dll", which is no longer supported in versions after Beta 3 for security reasons. Future versions of the engine will have a contingency in place to allow episodes using it to keep working, but that wasn't quite ready by the release of SMBX2 PAL.

But it happens even if I try to play The Invasion 2 or Mario Challenge, or test a newly created level in the editor. How do I get rid of the error?

I heard there was supposed to be an NPC Mario added to the game (Like the NPC Luigi, Peach and Link). Is that true?

I'm not sure if this is something that is exclusive to the PAL release (or could be just me) but I've noticed some pretty bad screen tearing when playing levels on full screen mode. It's still fairly minor and I know fixing bugs takes priority over making sure it looks nice but I thought I'd just give the heads-up.

Pretty sure that's been an issue with SMBX since the beginning. Some displays are worse than others, depending on resolution, resolution type (4:3/5:4/16:9/etcetera), refresh rate, and so on. SMBX is best played in windowed form.

I kinda suspected as much. I've only ever used older versions of SMBX on smaller resolution monitors and the one I'm using now is a higher resolution. However simply expanding the window size is to fit the whole screen seems to be an easy fix for now.

Is there a way to turn down the volume ( Sound effect/Custom Music ) in-game/during level testing?
The music blasted my ears even my PC volume is set at 25%.

Not that I've seen. Of course, for the ogg, mp3 and wav files, Audacity can handle that.

But wait, the game itself is loud for whatever reason. Sound effects and music are louder than they should be.
And I checked in the game file ( This time I listened Mario_Jump ) with Groove Music with 100% in-program volume and still have large differences in the sound loudness.

It's a bug in the current version. We're having sound mixer difficulties.

Please download this archive http://wohlsoft.ru/docs/_laboratory/_Bu ... .0.9-DS.7z (compatible with MAGLX3 and PAL)
and take from it's "SDL-Mixer-X/bin" folder two DLLs: SDL2.dll and SDL_mixer_ext.dll. Replace them in your "data/" folder and try to run the game again. Enjl had the same bug which I have fixed. The reason for this bug - WASAPI usage with VB6 app makes on some computers glitches like this are causing sound clipping (The same bug also happen on SMBX-38A). This happens on Windows 10 after some updates. Anyway, the same WASAPI is worked fine with any no-VB6 apps like PGE Editor, PGE Engine, and PGE MusPlay. The problem is going away when going to use DirectSound API instead of WASAPI which avoids the glitch.
