The title screen will be gone entirely. It's effectively totally obsolete as it is.
Aw man, that sucks. I always thought the title screen looked really cool.
I agree. I think it should be optional. Just my thoughts. On for those that want it, off otherwise.
I also think that the end quote in the credits should be replaced with Ezekiel 23:20, but that might not pander well for some, lolz
The credits are also going away and becoming episode-specific.
One could always recreate the original title screen in a launcher page.

You ARE aware that a lot of the users of SMBX are minors right? That's not going to happen.
Personally, I wanted it replaced with a Terry Pratchett quote, at least for default episodes, but as Enjl said, we're adding episode-specific credits eventually.

Trust me, I know that it wouldn't, though to be fair, I'm glad to see that episode-specific credits are going to be a thing, but what about for Mario Challenge? Or, is that going bye-bye too? Anyway, it was meant to be a joke; no one is going to see that bible verse quote without having a laugh attack (a common atheist meme after all-especially between November and December).
Terry Pratchett? Hmmm...have to say, not familiar. Name sounds familiar, vaguely.

Mario Challenge never used SMBX credits anyway, it just has two results screens.

I highly recommend reading some of his work. It's absolutely excellent comedy/political and social commentary/satire.

Then why did it play the credits sequence in Beta 3?

Because the ending screen wasn't there yet back then. For the past year it hasn't played the credits anymore.

If the title screen is getting axed, then will the application just close itself or will there be a sort of "game over" screen to reload the episode faster?

Come to think of it, what actually is the point of game overs in smbx? When the game is saved after beating every level, game overs are just a longer, more annoying, death animation.

The only thing they've ever done is trash checkpoint progress in a level. Honestly, I tend to prefer disabling lives in general for this exact reason.

Will disabling lives from the editor on a world-by-world basis be added to the base game?

Agreeable but then what happens to 1-up-mushrooms and moons ... maybe turn them to 100 coin mushrooms then?

Good idea, but what of coins? Stockpile them and... something?

A shop would be a way to do that, but if it were added to base game, then the World Map menu from SMB3 would have to be base game...
Edit: this is suggested the removal of loves becomes a base-game toggle when wldx files work.

Make a toggle to make the title screen a level itself
Maybe make the title level editable?

The title level has always been editable.

Found an inconsistency in the naming in the description for the football and the chuck that kicks them.

And then you have Nintendo’s name for them from the smw manual.
Passin Chuck and they literally named the footballs in the manual as killer footballs
I love how the chucks have so many different origin names, it’s like each of them resemble a different football team.

How about saving game overs?
