Nice GFX, although it does look like he would hump the floor...

Now I see why there has been some much activity here recently. I for one think that would be incredibly painful if someone tried "doing" that to a floor... The thing that got my attention though Nickname, apart from Scrooge's, uh... Pogo Stick, was that custom Marx sprite. I can't wait to see that one in action in the future. Nice work with all of the sprites though, definitely keep it up (pun not intended).

He's called Scrooge McDick for a reason :^)
As for the Marx sprite, I'll have to think of a good use of him in SMBX.

I can see the Forum's Funniest Posts having a field day with this. I haven't laughed as hard as I did in a while, so hopefully that name will stick. Also that is great to know about Marx, it is about time Kirby got a bit more SMBX love.

Thanks, I've been thinking about also using his ball, maybe kinda like these bear enemies in Mario Zone in SML2. I've also been thinking about restying other M&L DT enemies like the Antasman to SMB3.

Do it! I've been starting to work on enemies from M&L:SS, PiT and BiS over the last few weeks and i have to admit, it is actually pretty fun.

And to join your Gromba, here's a Sockop from BiS:

Looks more like a green boo blah doing a hand stand. Still looks nice though.

That's probably because the original also looks like a "green boo blah doing a hand stand".

Furthest I got with Nintendo hand held consoles was the GBA, so I have no clue what a Socktop is supposed to look like.

The corals strike me as linear, lol. I really like the rock textures, though! You will animate that giant chasing fish of insta-death, right?
Also idk about you but I don't think the dithered shading really fits well on the palm tree leaves. Maybe you could try something a bit more solid-looking?

Not really sure what else to do to the corals though I have re-vamped them slightly as they are older graphics. Most of them are based off of the ones on the Map in NSMBU. For a lot of just randomly drawing coloured lines I think the rock texture did turn out pretty well compared to the original. Cheep Chomp will be animated, I'm working on finishing the other frames now and adding a few more different corals. Then of course with ye olde palm tree, the dithering was a test if anything, and I think I might try something else that is a little more similar to the sea weed. That way I can probably make the veins on the fronds stand out more.
And for the hell of it, I made this to see if it would fit with the overall tileset:

This is a heavy WIP. I really have got to finish up my past tilesets.

Definitely a nice tileset you've got going here despite still being a "Heavy WIP". It looks really versatile to both a Snow Overworld and Snow Cave and the shape of the snow looks realistic, nice and puffy like a fresh blanket should be. I'd love to see what your other tilesets look like if this is any indication.
