Yeah, now seems like a good time.

After this game, I think we should either put mafia on a hiatus or decrease the maximum players. If we struggle to reach 15 players every other game, we should probably decrease the capacity to 12-15.

Only reason I disagree with that is because then I would not be allowed to host...

Then consider making your game smaller? Mafia's interest level is shrinking again, none of us can control that.

I'd agree to a 12-15 limit. Maybe even 10-13

I hosted 24, but only got 10 or so people to join, so a different game got hoatdd.

Also, when the the max number of people get reached, I can never join because I never get in fast enough. I will play any game, it is just not being able to get their fast enough.

So, How do you decide who hosts these things anyways?

So I died on the first night. That's cool I guess. Now I gotta wait 500 million years to play again.

Which leads me to suggest that we try Town of Salem, as each game only takes a few minutes and every person has some sort of ability.

Folks post their games in the host sign-up threads (they must have already participated in a mafia game before) and they're reviewed for balance by the Game Masters (just me and Spinda these days). A few days later, a 2-day poll is created and anyone can vote on which game they'd like to play (usually hosted by the creator of the game), and whichever game has the most votes is played.

I'd be down for trying some Town of Salem, PaperPlayer.

So i just have to play a mafia game and then win a poll to be a host?

Until we learn to stop fucking overusing bandwagons, I'm not doing any mafia. Bandwagons are gambling chances at winning, not strategies.

Bandwagons are a part of Mafia just like everythimg else. There can and have been tight votes before, it's just that this time the case was clear for most people. This seems like a really silly reason to ragequit.

In all the places I have ever played Mafia/Werewolf, bandwagons are not a part of the game, and that's because nobody has room to pick favorites in those places.

The thing is, this shouldn't ever happen, especially this early in the game.

Just going to say this for newcomers (though it should honestly be common sense): Read the Mafia rules before playing. Things like editing posts and posting after dying in-game are strictly not allowed.

As for replying to after-death posts, please don't do this. I'm aware that you all probably have no bad intent when doing so, but it's better to just report it and let a Game Master or staff member take care of it.
