Nobody said about batch, right? I think I'm the only batch programmer here.
I'm also learning PowerShell, and so far, some cmd and bash commands work there as short names of cmdlets.

Oh huh funny how stuff works out. When this thread was made I had no clue about any programming language but now I'm self-taught in C#, Lua, HTML&CSS&JS and GML, and had a class on WPF.
Tip for anyone who wants to get into programming but is shying away cause they can't find a class:
https://www.codingame.com/start
https://www.codecademy.com/
I've played around a bit on the top one and liked it a lot, but often hear the bottom one is very good as well. Waiting for an opportunity with a teacher in a classroom is a bit of a waste of time though, when you can get started today.

I used the SoloLearn app which I found really useful. I have a good understanding now of Python (my go-to atm), Lua, HTML + CSS + JS, and some Java and C++. SMBX was the first thing that got me into programming but now I'm focused on programming a lot of things outside of SMBX and ended up in a CS program for university

A good book and visualization can also carry people a long way, these are my go-to resources:

http://www.cs.usfca.edu/~galles/visuali ... ithms.html
Since this thread was made I've delved more into the peripherals of programming: UI, documentation, ethics, and have stuck mostly to tinkering in VB, Lua, Julia, C#, while mostly just studying their use cases.

It's interesting to hear of more people using Julia. I've stayed to take a look at it recently and it's really quite useful for some of the things I've been looking at

I knew how to do little text-based "games" with Python about a year ago. I probably won't remember anymore but I have a programming class next year, so hopefully I'll learn at least something there, even though I won't ever probably need coding for anything else than SMBX's LunaLua things.

I currently have a foundation's degree in programming from my previous vocational school, and I'm currently studying computer systems engineering. So far, Java has been my absolute favorite language and the one I've been using for most of the major projects I've had to make (C# is probably better but I don't have much experience with it). I also know a fair bit of C, along with basic Javascript knowledge.
This doesn't exactly have much to do with programming, but I also know a fair bit of stuff regarding networks and databases. The only language I've properly used for the latter is MySQL though, so I hope to learn new technologies in the future.
Also I'm currently making a videogame in unity.
I love videogames.
