So yeah, like the others said, the Judges have been busy, mostly with exams and real life, that's why the judging is taking so long. Have we all got that?

I hope, there has been a few things clearing up in private between me and Nien.

Is this even necessary to just tell the judges to hurry up even if, like what some people said, the contest ITSELF was scheduled in one of the worst time possible?
Isn't there like something else you can do instead of having the impatience to go for another post? If the judges say they're busy, then nothing's going to change that unless if they say something about their current situation. It's like asking for a poor outcome and then complaining even more after that instead of hoping for some quality reviews.

Nobody explicitly said "hurry up" but people saying "why are the judges taking so long" is essentially putting pressure on them to hurry and finish faster.
Also I was anything but the busiest of us all. You're severely overestimating the time I have to pour into university.
And even if you take out that factor it only took me as long as it did because judging some of these levels was really hard and I got exhausted quickly in a session. This batch of levels took me longer to judge than the 81 entries to Make a Good Mega Man Level 2.
So I suspect that "hard to judge" thing being a hurdle for the others too.

Thank you Enjl your posts are so charming, relaxing and concluding. While I agree with Nien, I agree with what you say too.

Why are the levels in this harder to judge than in other contests?

Putting aside the fact these levels were longer than those in MaGMML2 on average (par a few exceptions)... the guys over on Sprites Inc care about making their levels individual. Since every level felt different and had its own personality to it, it was pretty easy to determine the level's strengths and weaknesses. Levels often made a good effort to follow 4 step design and evolved well, even if they didn't utilise their idea to the fullest potential. Issues in levels were cut out to the level specifically most of the time because they provided a good basis to work on to improve the general idea and expand on it.
In this contest, issues were more broad. Idk how big of a spoiler this is but my comments will have a lot of repitition in the middle ranks, even though I tried to minimize it. While it was easy to figure out when a level could've been better, it was often hard to give advice on how to improve it without suggesting a complete rework from scratch. Though I should also mention that suggesting a rework is an awful and lazy idea because... a minimal fraction of levels is actually irredeemable... tangent aside I think if people here work on their execution of ideas they all have the potential to become great designers.
I did end up giving more generous scores than I usually would, though, simply to to align to the generally lower standards when comparing the overall quality to that of MaGMML2.
inb4 "woah spoilers"...
Guys, it's a teaser.

Sounds like someone is trying to manipulate a judge's feeling to get a better review.

Not only do I not know what level he made, nor will it work, nor will I touch my spreadsheet again.

Honestly, Enjl's comments at the most plesent to read. Just give he judges the space they need. Different people work at different rates. I would not be worried unless it takes three or more months. Mivixion and the judges are doing what they can. I actually looking forward to Enjl's reviews mainly for how he talks about them. (I usually only care about the reviews of the first tier, last to, the boundaries, my friends level's, and my own level.) This Contest will make me read all of Enjl's (Oh no.) May the best designer win.

So yeah if you haven't heard I'm withdrawing my reviews.
Mivixion is a terrible host, the judge roster is somehow worse and any attempts I've made to save this forest fire have utterly failed in reducing how enthusiastically this event jumps down cliffs (getting a sane rubric that isn't based on marching bands, writing the thread and ruleset to minimize punishment for slipups, distributing non-broken versions of the levels to allow all levels to be judged fairly).
So I'm just gonna watch from a distance.
Please don't expect anything sane going into the results, everyone. Moderate expectations are already too high. Play the levels detached from what the judges will say and form your own opinions, because you might find your favourite level far down in the low ranks.

He's not. He maliciously released his reviews on purpose (via Discord) for his own pleasure to also guarantee himself to be stripped from the panel
