For The Next Update, Can you add all mising stuff(NPCs,Blocks,BGOs,Events, etc) from Smbx 1.4.3-1.4.5's Level Editor?

No. "SMBX 1.4", as you call it, is not actually a version of SMBX, it's a completely different engine (actually named SMBX38A), and has no relation to SMBX2 whatsoever.

hudoftime is extremely outdated and a modern version doesn't exist as a standalone package. There are better systems that exist for making custom huds now.

Bug Found!
Where: During the Super Mario Challenge.
How to reproduce: The thing is I'm not quite sure... during my run right after the 5 level was completed a completely black background level was loaded with only Mario and a lone 1-up on screen. At level start, a dialog box appeared, standard in game blue box, stating SMBX can't load a file. It gave the file address showing where the game was loaded+ worlds. Once I dismissed the message, Mario got a 1up and fell to his death. The level reloaded and Mario got a 1up and fell to his death. I thought I could just pause the game and do a reroll to get another level BUT the default game pause menu appeared not the Challenge menu. I would have screenshots but the message didn't reappear when the level was reloaded and I initially thought the death would somehow take me to the next level not signal that I was kicked from the Challenge. I'll edit this, or if time expired and I can't I'll reply, with a screenshot if I can get it to reproduce.

That sounds like you may have installed an episode designed for 38A, which won't load correctly. Please make sure episodes you install are designed for SMBX2.

That level is a placeholder level that is loaded when SMBX encounters a level file that's in the wrong format (like a 38A level for example, or a corrupt level file). The error told you which level failed to load, right? You can mark that level or episode to be excluded from mario challenge by putting a file called nomariochallenge in the level or episode folder. The level will also be unplayable from the editor, BTW.

Okay thanks... I guess I need to check the Episodes I have installed. Also I'm glad that something that can be done. I was thinking of doing a Super Mario Challenge run on my YouTube channel without rerolling. I thought I'd have to make an exception for final levels, level warps, non level areas, etc. but now I don't have to. Hoeloe wrote:

Funny Thing is I think it's just a corrupt level. I double checked and all the episodes I have installed are for SMBX2 not 38A.

hudoverride.lua and the new HUD-related functions can be used to make modular, consistent huds that integrate well with basegame hud elements.

Regarding the 1.4.3 stuff I think it's a really low priority, if at all. AFAIK with LunaLUA you can make everything but the powerups (events would be done via a Luna.lua file)

For the next update, is it possible to change the aspect ratio to 16:9 (or even 21:9)? If not asking too much.

Very unlikely. And if it ever becomes a feature, it would be set per-episode or level by the creator, rather than the player.

I though it would just for the engine instead of episodes. Sorry about my English. Hope you got the ideia.

Changing it for the engine means breaking every single episode that exists currently. That's not something we're prepared to do.

Plus it would make designing levels and episodes nigh impossible in the future, as you'll never know what kind of screen aspect ratio setting the player might have.

Auto-detect. Look in the ZDooM source code. May help with this if you were to try to utilize alternate screen resolutions.
Just trying to help, don't shoot the messenger.

That doesn't help when dealing with spawn regions. And how do you deal with someone opening an old level and trying to make changes to it, possibly even updating it to lvlx, when that means changing the screen resolution?
It's FAR better to just make it something users can control, maybe even by defaulting to 16:9 for new lvlx files created after a certain point (but not .lvl files, or older .lvlx files, even if they're re-saved as new files).

A per level toggle
If on older levels, use the standard resolution
