The world map tileset and the water has 4x4 pixels while the smaller d*** clams(sorry Vinny xD) has 1x1 pixels. Some has 2x2 pixels. You should use 2x2 pixels tho.

Nice. Based off the Super Mario Bros Deluxe world map?
Exactly! It's a mix between that and some SMB3 stuff.

Amazing! Cool graphics. Did you make them yourselves?
But it clashes a little
No I didn't. They're from ArnuroMinigon, of MFGG. I've made the lighthouse though. Not that impressive but still, hahah. Why do you think it clashes, though? Could you give me an example so I can try to fix it?

Hmm, you're quite right! I didn't even bother before, but now that you said... Anyway, should I fix the tiles? I see what the problem is but I don't know if it really looks bad or not... What do you mean by clams, by the way?

I think by clams he means the flowers with the opening and closing 'mouths', the ones that look a bit like munchers or something

Yeah, there's a lot of 4x4 pixels, also the munchers don't have 1x1 pixels. Also, I'd recommend you made the island a little bigger.

Ok people! So I've edited the entire 4x4 thing to get a better result, and there's a picture for comparison. Does it look better now?

Don't worry, the game won't take place entirely into this area. There will be more lands spread around.

Well, there are still lots of odd pixels remaining, I'd recommend removing literally all of them.

Hmmm, I can't see what you mean. Can you point me some example so I can try to fix it? I suppose you're talking about some of the land corners, maybe.

The bad thing is, your land is an 8-bit tileset. (4x4 pixels) so all of the 16 bit graphics (2x2 pixels) clash. The only way I see you being able to fix this is change the graphics of either the land or the scenery into completely different ones in order to eliminate clashing.

But I've just edited it into 2x2 pixels, as you can see in the second picture.

the cliff bits look like absolute garbage and so does the water. I recommend adding some diagonal lines in there somewhere

Hmm, I see. If you meant the cliff next to the lighthouse I can see what you mean. But the water is just... Regular water, with SMB Deluxe color. Still I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, the 8 bit and 16 bit stuff kinda clashes, so I would recommend either making 8 bit or 16 bit only. Also, the path between the lighthouse and second level is pretty long, so I would recommend shortening it down or adding a second level inbetween. Also, I think that the shape and perspective of the island is pretty odd.

Nah. I appreciate most of your criticisms and I'm grateful for that, it helped me to improve a little, but I'll still keep the tileset. I'm just fond of the SMB Deluxe style over any other map tileset out there. But thanks anyway!

Its your right to pick your own graphics, but you could still use different scenes right?

You mean 8 bit scenes, right? It's a possibility, yeah. But first... Here's my last attempt. I've tried my best to make the tiles look more 16 bit-like. Recolors, and a few new pixels here and there. Please tell me it looks at least a little more correct. =´D
