The fear of this is because so many people died in a third-world country with little to no medical necessities and the media puts it out to be a huge outbreak. It has been contained to said third-world country and has been kept there for a while now, the only way it can get out is if somebody from West Africa goes without being monitored to a first-world country, which would cause uproar in the media but would probably be treated anyhow if caught early enough, and that would usually happen.

Also one of the symptoms of Ebola is internal/external bleeding and death, so maybe that's why people are flipping their shit over it.

I sure as fuck wouldn't get close to someone who's skin is extremely damaged and/or is vomiting/coughing a lot.

seriously, the fact that the media says ebola has "reached" countries just means that patients were sent there to get attention, not that the virus just decided to pull a godzilla and kill everyone.

Unrelated, but I really dislike the term third-world country because it doesn't mean what a lot of you guys (and most people) think it means.

Third World
noun, ( sometimes lowercase)
1.
the underdeveloped nations of the world, especially those with widespread poverty.
2.
the group of developing nations, especially of Asia and Africa, that do not align themselves with the policies of either the U.S. or the former Soviet Union.

Synonyms: shit hole, forsaken

Everyone seems to be using it right.

It was a flu virus, not a central African death curse.

Alright I'm just gonna tell you this is a serious thread about a serious issue. No need for misinformation, even if these "facts" are obviously false.
I'm NOT lying, Once Ebola is exposed to the sun It some how dies. (viruses aren't living things.)
And an American like you should know that VIRUSES CAN KILL BLOOD CELLS. that is all from me.

1-Give this dude an award, he just found the cure to an extremely lethal disease by browsing through the internet: just put the infected person under the sun.

2-Sick, it only spreads at night, that means i can hang out with an infected person during daytime and nothing will happen to me.

2-I guess that european guy over there shouldn't know anything about biology. #muricanmasterrace

Let me rephrase what I said: When one of the people died of Ebola they had to burn his body, when the virus had no body to feed off of it died when it was out in the sun.
killing it. this virus cannot spread threw the air or else it would die.

The sun isn't doing anything to the virus. And yes, when the body is burned the virus is terminated but I don't know how you're comparing that to a body being in the sun.

Speaking of burning bodies, wouldn't that be a great method of containing Ebola if some American health teams are this incompetent?: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/10/1 ... -released/

I (don't) like how everyone on the Internet are making Ebola jokes when it can actually exterminate the human race in a few months.

What people don't seem to understand is that this is a bodily fluid spread virus. Its just not that likely that it will be any worse than it is now(that is, unless people are literally spitting in each others' mouths and rubbing on each other with sweat).

I like how there are like 3 people in the US with Ebola and everyone is walking around with sanitizers in their pockets, rubber gloves and plastic bags over their heads, yet AIDS is EVERYWHERE and still people fail to wear condoms.
