@Eclipsed: have you heard about the reputation system that already existed on this site in late 2014? It caused loads of commotion and it was generally terrible. I'd be okay with thumbs up only but no downrep wars.

@Snowy_Desert: Please don't mess with your posts. You would disrupt the flow of the respective threads. And there's nothing objectively bad about your early posts anyway, they're not even cringy or the like.

Also the site's back up for everyone isn't it?

Also, is there any way we can get an upvote/downvote system like reddit has for posts?
This would be disastrous. See: reddit communities

It should be. The downtime wasn't expected to last longer than 48hr.

A variation of the reputation system for individual posts was met with overall approval last time it was brought up iirc. The problem back then was that the module didn't work for our version of phpbb. I think it would be nice to see. Perhaps better if it only had upvotes though cause you can always not upvote a post and leave a response instead if you don't approve.

I don't know about it. It's better if there's fewer things that can be an element of discussion than the post itself. Even though I think an upvote only or "likes" system would work I guess, it'd be better to just have posts stand alone. On Reddit threads come up about upvotes and downvotes on just about every community I've seen, and the same thing happened here when we had karma before. Like it may help if someone has nothing to say but wants to upvote something and keep useless comments away, but idk if it will really pan out that way.

Also wouldn't a reputation system, even if it only had upvoting, make the community more competitive? Like, everyone would be aiming to get the most upvotes and they wouldn't be happy if they were the only one who couldn't get a single upvote. This could lead to arguments and the like.
Likes are more for social media platforms, not forums; however, perhaps a Like feature which only notifies the poster (not letting anyone else see how many likes the poster has or doesn't have) would be better as it would lower the chance of unwanted competition.

How about introducing a minimum amount of completed levels needed to post a project?

As TheLoafLord brought up a good two weeks ago - there's some users who, despite obeying the current rules, still only slap together some screenshots of 3 or 4 levels and that's all they have done. I can speak for myself that I'm not in favour of already posting a project when total progress is 10% and less. Projects should be posted only as soon as the owner knows they can keep themselves committed, ideally.

It gets progressively harder to enforce standards when more are added like that. The approach I'd take is "how do we get the most amount of active topics with the least amount of barriers." Like having progress be above 10% as a consequence of how projects are submitted rather than as a rule would be in that ballpark. So like right now project threads are functionally similar to level and episode threads in terms of style, and the users depend on how many screenshots and info the project creator(s) choose to share. An approach that may be more optimal would be to require a scope and a realistic deadline for certain criteria to be met so that there's something users can easily check and keep track of progress, and as a consequence hold a project team to a standard that would keep the project active and detailed. Like Enjl's Working on a Project has really good advice and maybe formalizing some of it would be a better idea instead of adding new standards. That's how I would approach this issue though, I wouldn't really develop this into an actual suggestion until there's an abundance of dead projects and inactivity; neither seem to be the case imo.

Question about the "Story/Fan Fiction" theme topics in the Art Board forums:

Do Y'all allow just short stories/fan fics or stories/fan fics that are long with each chapter lasting for about between 1000 to 2000 (Or more...) words?* Because I'm writing a Super Smash Bros. story right now, and I was wondering about this rule for a while.

*If y'all Staff only allowed short stories/fan fics in the Art Board, I'll have to make a quick summary of the Whole story in a anticlimactic fashion. And I promise, it'll be a big disappointment. -_-"

Could you mention again the episodes featured before January 2018? I know there is the Wayback Machine of the Internet Archive, but I'm afraid most users don't even know about it.

Thanks for the link :) Unfortunately, even now that I know about the previously featured episodes being listed there, I can only find them using your link. Please make these episodes more visible so that other players can enjoy them, too. Unless, of course, I'm not seeing the wood for the trees.

There seems to be this bug that's affecting some of the embedded youtube videos on the site.

I don't know if this is related to deleted videos or not.
