[Roleplay] Group MEGAR Roleplay Thread

[Danny]

Robin looks behind him to notice one of the Warforged's fingers opening up and a bolt of fire shooting out of it, aiming straight at the Orc to his left.

The fire bolt sears the orc. Attack: 18+4, the orc takes 2 fire damage.

Khiana, heavily frustrated and embarrassed at the barrel fail, she knees the orc in front of her and stabs him in the chin & through the head.

As your blade pierces through the orc, you can feel its body go limp against your weight, and you push it onto the ground. Attack: 13+4, the orc takes 9 piercing damage and dies.

He then moves 5 ft north and attacks the Orc directly northeast of him with his Rapier before flying 25 ft backwards again in order to not be as big of a target.

Your rapier pierces through the orc's armor, and strikes it fatally. Attack: 19+4, the orc takes 10 piercing damage and dies.
However, as you fly away from the fight, the orc adjacent to you goes in for a swing, striking you. Vardo takes 5 slashing damage. (4/9 hp)

Robin doesn't seem too bothered by the hit. Sure, he wasn't as strong as he used to be after such a long downtime, but he still has that handy resistance. "Keep it together!" Is the generic rallying cry he comes out with, but hey, he's pretty sure anything could get to these people. Robin promptly gets one of his shortswords and slashes at the same orc Alexis seemed to be firing away at.

The orc, busy attempting to dodge the fire bolt sent out by Alexis, side steps your sword swing, and you miss completely. Attack: 2+5.

after the orc hits Kuhan's arm he takes out one of his shortswords and wields it in his other arm and attacks the orc with it.

You slice through the orc easily, and it collapses to the ground. Attack: 19+5, the orc takes 5 piercing damage and dies.

The remaining orcs see what they're up against, and come up with the conclusion that they are overwhelmed. The spend their time trying to flee.

Khiana pulls out her bow and aims & shoots it straight at the orc to the right, aiming for the back of his neck. No survivors, she insisted to herself.

KUhan walks over to the fountain to see what's going on with the rest of them and doesn't bother asking if we should let them flee so he shoots and arrow at the one to the left after noticing Khiana aiming for the right one.

Robin is slightly peeved that he missed, but doesn't show it. He instead opts to fire an arrow at the left orc. Can't let them get away after all.

"I won't let you get away with this!" Hilda shouts. She steps one tile to the northeast, pulls out a javelin and throws it at the orc to her northeast.

Watching the hooligans disperse, Alexis pauses, though is thinking why everyone's trying to hunt down the stragglers.

"Hey, just an idea, but we should get a few of us to get back to rescuing villagers - we don't need everyone chasing after those two Orcs I assume.", Vardo shouted at the group. "As such, I'm going to search the houses for any injured victims. I'd appreciate it if a few of you would join me."

And with that, Vardo took off, heading to the edge of the destruction in hopes of helping any survivors.

Overwhelmed by their attacks, the last two orcs drop dead.

As Vardo heads toward the center of Fleetpoint, he sees large numbers of civilians helping others free from wreckage, and running away from the blaze. From this vantage point, he can see that about a good third of the town is burning, though the fires seem to be dying down considerably. Rolling over the mountains in the distance appear to be storm clouds, which may prove a hopeful sight.

Khiana walks over the barrel she tried to push and props it up.

"This barrel has some water in it. If we can help it, we can try and put a building out."

Hearing Khiana's plan, Hilda nods. "Alexis, can you shape water? We should try to stop this fire before it does any more damage. In the mean time, I'll follow Vardo and see if I can aid any stragglers." She runs off towards Vardo, her recent aggressive behavior stuck in her mind. She shouldn't have thrown her javelin at a fleeing enem; now she must atone in any way she can after letting her anger get the best of her. She also picks up the thrown javelin on her way out, hoping to use it for a better purpose in the future.

"Right, they can't hurt anyone else." Robin seems pleased with this result, having no qualms with having killed a fleeing enemy. They could threaten someone else if they were allowed to escape. "I'll go give some civilians a hand, if the rest of you can figure out how to put out these flames." And with that command made, Robin puts his weapons away and runs off to try and assist anyone he can out of the rubble.

As the civilians are freed, they quickly thank their helpers before running off into the safer parts of town. The storm on the horizon seems to be approaching fast, and the occasional roll of thunder can be heard echoing across the plains.

Hilda, while feeling remorse for her actions, does not feel any significant presence of Odin, or any negative energy expressed from her attack. While she worries that her morals were off-putting, she seeks solace in the fact that she had not been obliterated by her deity's wrath.

In the town square, droves of wounded and dead fill the open spaces, extending into Fleetpoint's marketplace, as well as various other commercial buildings. While it still remains roughly noon, the town is overcast and darkened by the smoke billowing from the blazing district, and from the coming storm. The square is filled with chatter, mourning, and shouting as people fight back the fires that creep closer and carry bodies into the center. Many sections of the square have been established as a makeshift hospital, so much so that one would think this has been an ongoing issue for at least a few hours, and if that were the case, where might the town's militia be?

Robin steps back and observes. He has doubts that, even despite his helping, the people wouldn't take too kindly to a foreigner going around asking questions. He instead turns to Hilda, noticing that she looks a little down. "Hey, Hilda! What's up? Ever since the fight ended you look like you've been in a poor mood." He asks, waving a friendly hand.

Vardo decided to land near the marketplace in order to provide any help in restricting the flames before a rainstorm will hopefully take care of the rest. He approaches the square and tries to get a good look at the situation first.

Khiana starts straying away into a nearby alley, looking for buckets to bring back to the fountain. If she ran into something she liked, well she'd be perfectly fine with that.

Alexis is going to take a quick survey around the area to see if he can find any civilians.

Vardo decided to land near the marketplace in order to provide any help in restricting the flames before a rainstorm will hopefully take care of the rest. He approaches the square and tries to get a good look at the situation first.

From what you can see, the townsfolk here have worked together to extinguish the flames that crept up to the town square, and have marked the area off as a "safe zone", allowing doctors, faith healers, clerics, and field medics to tend to the wounded, while braver civilians take up arms, guarding the perimeter. There doesn't appear a whole lot that you could help with immediately, so you may have to ask around.

Khiana starts straying away into a nearby alley, looking for buckets to bring back to the fountain. If she ran into something she liked, well she'd be perfectly fine with that.

Perception: 17+4.
You can easily spot several buckets or various other containers laying around that you can put water in, but find nothing else of interest in the alleyways.

The townsfolk, seeing the approaching storm, have begun to slowly move the critically wounded into buildings, taking up residence in two different inns, as well as a few houses that people have let them use. Even with this, the town square is still filled to the brim with people.

"Does anyone need my help?" Hilda asks to the crowd, preparing to help anyone who needed it with the healing power that she retains, and moving towards the wounded.

Khiana grabs the buckets and takes them into town.

"If I can get some volunteers, we can use the fountain as a source of water and take these buckets to put out some fires."
