There still isn't too much evidence that he is the Sun Golem. He could be a mafia trying to trick the yellows. But then, if it was true, the real Golem would do something about it, unless he was inactive. But claiming without having viable evidence is not that much of a good idea. And about the ability, two mafia members could make it look like he did it, even though it is likely that the person the sun golem claimed to would do something under these circunstances. Of course, this is not enough to accuse someone. But what I really mean is that mosaic might end up letting a mafia infiltrate the alliance if this is how he normally plays.

He needs someone to counterclaim.

If he used the ability on me, he would be clear of suspicion, but at the cost of not being able to talk on night 2.

Why does he have to use his ability on you if he is the Sun Golem? I mean, I think that just paints a target on you, doesn't it?

Honestly, with this kind of playing, I feel you would be a detriment to the town even if you are town. And I'm not even all that sure if you are at this point.

Mosaic could also get saved by the doctor, that's another possibility you forgot about.

So, here's something that could maybe be considered a somewhat decent plan.

The Sun Acolyte claims

The Augur inspects the Sun Acolyte, the Guard protects MosaicMario who uses his ability on thehelmetguy1 or something (The reason he shouldn't use the power on the sun acolyte is because it's not confirmed as the sun acolyte)

after that, during day 2, the Shaman claims to the acolyte (Privately of course).

It's not very detailed and I'm not sure if it's fool-proof (Maybe the moon cultists got lucky and painted the sun acolyte, but I honestly doubt that), but with the limited information I have during day 1, I think this could work.

There is only one flaw though: what if a mafioso claims to be the sun augur?

Of course, the augur shouldn't claim his role upon inspecting. This would open the possibility for mafia to fake the role, even though the real one will counterclaim. Another thing is that if two yellows claim(Acolyte is an exception, as he is immune to night kills), mafia or TP will definetly try to kill one of them. And if they are lucky enough they will target the one that is not protected by the guard.
