I thought you were completely against LunaLua last time I checked. Cool idea anyway.

Nice! I hope that you're going to be successful with it.
And also a question: are you going to use a seperate smbx file for the game?

What hardcoded graphics specifically? There is probably a way to change it with LunaLua.

It's being worked on - you can do it already but it's not as good as it could be.

I'm allready having a custom .exe for it so i can replace the Original playables with mine and change smbx's Vanilla GFX with my Devkit
And the hardcoded gfx i am going to change are mostly just smb3 recolors and i want the title screens to be showing my logo.

^^sorry for the bump guys.^^
But i still needed to let you guys know that my episode won't be LunaLua mandatory. It will just use it as a way to make npc's act more like they do in nintendo's mario games, so i will also have a version in which the npc's are just spriteswaps.
This will allow everyone to play the episode in their preferred way.

I don't know, that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
LunaLua is becoming standard SMBX now so there isn't much of a point to create a version specifically for those who do not update, especially seeing as you are making a custom EXE. (Which seems pointless to me as well)

It`s not just a if you mind thing, having one version with LunaLua and one without will limit what you can do level-design wise, like you might have this really nice custom NPC that depends on LunaLua and you might want to make a level around it, but you can`t, because you would need to make an entire new level for the other version.
And I`m still not getting why you want a custom exe, you can load custom player graphics faster by using PlayerGfx, and in SMBX 2.0 you don`t even usually see the title screen, you just see the launcher which you can customize for your episode by the way. And hardcoded graphic editing is being worked on as HenryRichard said.
Well, I`ll stop arguing with you about this, it`s you forcing more work on yourself, and it`s your game, but let me tell you it would all turn out better if you just do a SMBX 2.0 version.

Nice job man! Support ya <3
Also please make your support signature in (code) becouse you can't copy banners properly without (code)
Example:
Without (code)
With (code)
Code: Select all

So if you put your code in (code) you can make code in copyable boxed like this!

WOW the new screens looks beautiful and unique! Especially the burned city(?) screens ones! but the tree bgos in Stardust Street screen looks little.... bit..... spooky... imo (they look like the spooky dead trees). Great job!

Thanks, the "burned city" is in fact called "Operation blackout". A Power plant in which mario turns off dark land's Power supply. (the Power plant part is later on though.)
Thanks for the nice words
Also, the trees are handdrawn versions of the NewerSMBWII star tileset (Which the entire tileset is Base upon.)

The boss designer spot is open
because waddle derp decided to be lazy.
Anyone who wants it just ask, (i dont accept everything though)
Also, I finished my worldmap.
This first screen shows world 1,2 and 3.

This one shows world 4. (the blue level leading nowhere will warp to the red level on the land with the ghost house.)

This is the lava world, that big castle up there is bowsers castle.

This is World A-Intergalactic Invasion.(You can access it using that pipe next to the ship wrecks in world 1)

World B is ice themed.

World C is called Massive Meadows, featuring huge koopas.

And, for the sake of the sake I decided to give every Cave-level a little area.

Man I'm loving those gfx. I can't express enough how promising this looks. The levels look amazing and seem to have some variety to them.
On a related note, can I be the boss designer?
