Whispy Woods gone Forest of Illusions:


The Big Tree replaces Mother Brain, the smaller ones only replace BGOs at the moment. The Tree also needs a name, so lay down some ideas. The three trees will each do something different so they all need their own names.

They all look kewl, but knowing what they do would be helpful for the names

The first thing that came into my head was "Pikatree" because it kinda looks like a pikachu.

The Big Tree will drop Giant Yoshi Berries (similar to Whispy Woods I suppose), while the dome-shaped trees (with open mouths) will fire projectiles at the player. I'm kind of thinking of using Pidgits, since birds live in trees, it would sort of make sense. I'm not too sure what I want the one tree to do yet though.

I did come up with a name for the big one, whether or not you guys like it. I called it "Treemoil", a play on the words "Tree" and "Turmoil". I'm not sure it sounds very Mario-ish though.

Since it's April Fools it must be a joke!

@h2643: Let me guess. The joke is the background since it's filled with Tetris Blocks all over the place. Looks nice though.

@FanofSMBX: Nice one. Definetly useful for a 16-bit picture. I need that since I still use the 8-bit one.

That is my favourite e-Reader level actually. Are you planning on making it a complete replica or are you going to mix it up a bit?

Also, GFX Pack hype: It's taken a few hours, but I've ripped the whole first room of Stage 1 from "Monster In My Pocket, including enemies and ported them all. The only thing left is the doorway, I have to draw the top half, as there is no way to see it in game as the camera doesn't scroll that far up. I've also started on miscellaneous other things from the rest of the game, including the giant, killer golf ball. Oh, and if you're wondering how big this is, the pillow is just wider than the SMB1 Big Castle BGO.
