Hi all. A few years ago I've announced that I was gonna revamp this episode, MAINLY fixing the difficulty since, as we all know, this episode is a bit too hard and I definitely wish I was more attentive to that when I originally was making this episode.

Anyways, I didn't come here with good news unfortunately as that idea has been cancelled long ago. I'm way past this phase in my life to making Mario levels and simply don't have the motivation to even just revamp my episode. Sorry to all that were eagerly waiting.

Idk how active the SMBX community is and if X2 is still in development but if there's an okay amount of interest, I can release what edits I did do to my levels. And if someone is really that passionate about the episode still, I'll give them full permission to make it X2 compatible and even revamp the difficulty.

But yeah, that's it. Hope everyone has been doing good and thanks to all the support during the whole time this episode has been alive!

SMBX2 is still being developed but it's going a lot slower these days.
As for the edits, while I don't personally see myself messing around with them, I think the prospect of having them out there is interesting from a purely preservation-oriented perspective.

and don't worry about the remake/edits and so on, even if the episode's pretty hard i still believe it's a pretty classic episode
i guess you could release the edits as a sort of uh director's cut? or something? well either way, don't feel forced to post them if you don't want to ofc

Don't worry, the difficulty is the charm of your episode haha, also, is one of the best of the classics.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I think it still holds up relatively well in the year of our lord 2023.
