there's already parallax scrolling..? Oh, do you mean backgrounds on different layers? Then yeah, that's possible with LunaLua if I remember correctly.

parallax scrolling I'm sure can be easily added to the game, all you need is different background layers, just like adding and turning off block layers.

Today's characters are definitely the best, and I barely see any flaws - I'm assuming the pink samus is super leaf (if it's fire flower well then we have a problem, but I doubt it is). One thing though is that Mega Man is 8-bit - I think someone should restyle him to be 16-bit before the official release. I could do it if you want.

Also I wish I could use the veggies at any time :(

I honestly think the Mega Man 7 adaptation of Mega Man would fit SMBX the best.

Those might work, though I personally prefer the Super Mario Bros. Crossover 16-bit sprites.

That could work, but I think the Mega Man 7 ones looks more...SNES-like, considering SMBX is an SNES-styled game.
Heck, even Mega Man X might work.

I like the Crossover sprites because they don't require tons of effort in getting additional sprites for the movement cycle into the spritesheet.

That, and the Megaman 7 sprites are huge compared to a Goomba.

Also, you literally got Rolling Cutter's colors wrong; those are Hyper Bomb's colors. See for yourself:

I also find it odd that Mega Man's projectiles come out of nowhere as opposed to a Mega Buster.

Edit: And why in the world does he throw veggies. Nowhere in Mega Man is there a veggie-throwing weapon.

Parallax scrolling is already in the game with the Mystic Cave background, which can be replaced using custom graphics.

I saw the starman video and now I stand corrected :shock: ... I seriously hope this gets completed and Nintendo doesn't catch wind and shut it down again.

I'm super excited about Samus and Mega Man, my favorite new characters for sure. Props to the level designers for recreating their respective games so well.
