You don't need to, but it's the recommended version since it contains a lot of new features.WildCard78 wrote:Im using the 1.3.0.1 should i be using the 2.0 Beta?Snessy the duck wrote:You should put the episode file in your worlds folder. If you're asking if 1.4 is better than this, it kinda is, but I personally recommend the 2.0 open beta.YgorDieryX wrote:Oow! i needIs Cool!
Is best SMBX 1.4.4 (Nope or Yeah ?)
There are other two versions that you can get: 1.4.4 and 2.0. You should get both and try both, then go for which you preferYgorDieryX wrote:Oow! i needIs Cool!

Please note that we are not capable of adding substantial new features (powerups/custom buttons/etc.) to the level editor. Also note that there are no viruses/malware/adware in any of these download links; just be sure you're not mistakenly clicking on ads.
(NOTE: This download is a ZIP file. The setup executable was taken down due to a problem explained here, and may not be back up until the release of the next SMBX version.)

Alternate issue: crash with an error message showing that smbx.exe was not found and delete itself
