Nah, it's fine. My first level was a weird Metroid/SMB1/SMB2 Hybrid with crappy gameplay. I'll look for it.

A screenshot of (drumroll, please....)
Super Mario Bros: Adventure Again! WORLD 1-1
Rated: 0.3/10
A Review of -SMB Adventure Again World 1-1- by larrykoopa234
Graphics: Nothing even custom and invisible block maze?! Everything looked clashy and overall horrible. Never add this much variety. EVER.
0.1/10
Gameplay: Super crazy, virtually impossible, and the secret exit is stupid.
0.0125/10
Music: NSMB theme? No. Never. In my life. Use something that fits. Except that this level doesn't have music to describe it.
1/10
NPCs: Spammy, annoying, and they all clash against each other.
0/10
FINAL SCORE: 0.0278125/10

Actually it was "nothing even custom" and larry was my username. The review was done by one of the users on Knux's in 2010.

I remember that someone on one of the old forums once made a level that had Windows gfx in it, he even put in on youtube, but I remember neither the level nor the creator, oh well... :/

I keep revamping my graphics.

This is the latest revamping.
I basically tried to add detail to the 8 bit Kirby's Adventure graphics and apply that to my project. Turned out pretty good.
Also, yes the background animates.
I think this is gonna be what i do from here on out, take 8 bit graphics and revamp them to be a bit more 16 bit looking.
I was not happy with the Kirby's Dream Land 3 tiles.. there was too much too them.. like ground tiles were not simple enough to work with.
I got some other level types i am going to work on. Won't just be KA tiles.
Got ideas for worlds based on Ninja Gaiden and a few other NES classics.
Basically each world is based on a dream being had by a popular NES game hero.. Ryu is dreaming about some of his fights and dealings in his own journeys, but they're turned into nightmares for him.
You basically go into his dream state and free him from his captive.... pretty much the same thing happens for every NES hero you rescue.
They're all trapped in bad dreams based around things they deal with in their own games.
And our main character helps save them.
I mean the world in which Kirby resides IS called Dreamland after all.. i gotta figure a lot of places are based around dreams SOMEONE is having.
But then you have your basic areas that look like KA.

I'm actually salivating at that screenshot. It's so purdy :3
Basing the character off SMB2 Mario was a good idea too especially since SMB2 Mario has some nice sprites imo

@GLuigiX: Ahahaa, this gives me memory because I also watched a video that has windows graphics in it. Looks very nice and surprisingly fitting to me.
@Mikepjr: I really like everything what you have made just for that one screenshot. Looks Kirby Themed to me. Good work with that.

*laughs a little* If you read that long winded rant i made, you would know it's intentional.
It takes place in "dreamland" where Kirby resides. ^_^
Glad everyone likes it though.
Originally i was using Kirby's Dreamland 3 assets.. but it was a pain in the butt.. so then i thought i would just try updating NES graphics a bit and go with that.
