Because they have lives too, and can't always be here all of the time
You know what? They should take
shifts. Some of the admins moderate during morning, another few admins in the afternoon and the last few admins at night.

don't forget about timezones! Besides reports about spam or backseat moderation or w/e are usually handled within a reasonable timeframe.

There's no need to bother about their activity, and I doubt it will change anything with that. Other forums also have all mods offline at sometime.

Chaos does not erupt as a result of mods being offline as they would find out once they return.

Yes because there is a very high ammount of admins here, and moderating a mario forums with a bit more than 5.000 members is exactly the same thing as doing an actual job. Also, in years, nothing ever went wrong when mods and admins were offline. And as stated before they can't put internet over their real life. They have lives, and important things to do. They aren't automatic administration robots.

Pretty much this. We have our own lives, and we're not paid to do this job. There haven't been any serious issues as a result of admins/moderators being offline for a while either. Probably the worst that has happened is spam attacks, but those are cleared up relatively easily once somebody comes online, especially as somebody is usually always online on Discord so they can be alerted about what is going on pretty quickly.

I think it should be noted that the Discord is protected, but there are staff there that don't know they're staff and staff that rarely interact with it. If they were truncated off while just leaving behind everyone that interacts then that would help with the perception of staff always being away or inactive due to just the change of volume of active staff compared to inactive. On the forums though, if these monthly threads continue and other forms of engagement show up that will help too. Focusing on if mods/admins are online means pretty much nothing because they have the option to be hidden for one, and for another thing it could just mean they have the board index open in another tab and not be even looking. One of the more clear examples of disengagement was with the extravaganza. From a user's POV it looked like Mivixion would host the contest, jump in for a few minutes to insult people, and leave for a week to come back to say anything more. In the end the contest was pretty much a disaster due to management, and sometimes scenarios like this carry out to the general forums where a staff member pops in to say "Don't do that" and not much more. At the end a report is dealt with and the forums are technically supervised sufficiently but that doesn't register with people as being active. I know it's not a paid job, and there's other things to do however it's when staff are here and how they interact is what matters over amount of time online.

But of all seroiusness, it's not that hard to add the ability to use other fonts
here's the link:

Here's an example i made in my own forums:
what i did is type,
It can really add personality to the forums.

There's still the problem with font spamming. The problem being people using different fonts for every letter. It would get annoying tbh

Why not make a rule about font spamming?
Besides, i got warned one time about using huge letter with all caps and multiple exlaimation points.

Why not just accept that it isn't necessary?

Sure it's maybe easy but it's not that necessary.

Not adding fonts.

I should also mention that if you tried adding fonts to posts the way tim described, then unless everyone viewing your post has the exact same font on their own systems, it won't display properly. Untouched, similarly set up of windows may have the same fontset, but stray outside of that and you'll likely have someone see Times New Roman on their screen instead of your desired font.

The art board feels like cancer, with everyone drawing very poorly and not even trying half the time. Seriously, we need some quality control there, because if not it's gonna be overrun with so much trash. I know it's just the nature of the board, but just really?

We need quality control
everywhere. Signatures, project forum, and the sandbox forum are by far the most in need of this.

Quality control around here will end in disaster.

We don't need quality control, just a rule against trolls. People who aren't good deserve feedback.
