This is shaping up to be a cool tileset, will you add anything else to it?
Thanks. I am planning on adding some more to the tileset. Whenever came to mind
I thought you were going to fix the pillar?

Oh, I forgot about the pillar. Gimme some time to research ancient pillar textures and I'll fix it.

And y'all though I can ONLY make a SEGA Genesis recreation of just Mario… But guess what, it's Link's turn for a 16-bit Mega Drive reboot!
So whatcha think so far? I'll give y'all SMBX members quick updates on the process. ^_^"

I tend to just make a few edits on existing sprites, but here's a coin graphic I'm planning to use in my project. I used the SMB3 coin as a reference for shading and the colours come from one of witchking666's tilesets (Specifically the primary colour crystal cavern, that looked kinda gold-like.) Thoughts?
Added in 1 minute 1 second:
Forgot to add: I haven't resized it to SMBX yet, this is still 1/2 size

It looks fairly alright. I don't understand why there is a keyhole pattern on them, but they look like they could be given more depth. I can see that this gfx also has SMB2 coin colours while in an SMB3 style, which I find nice.

It's not a keyhole. It's something else.

Wow! It's really faithful to the original. Good job. Maybe you could try and make the front yard with the clothesline and those other details.

Remake for no particular reason... Should be done tomorrow but I figured before I skip the "WIP" part of this thread again, might aswell post today's state of things.

Looks like something I might see in a science fiction-style level. Are you making these spaceship theme tileset for a spaceport level?

Wow, its really interesting how with the new graphics, you are going for something more like 2.5D approach and the colors are way better. How do you choose your palletes btw. I want to be able to choose good colors as well and stop using the SMB3 pallete over and over again.

Knowing color theory & haphazardly picking a colour vaguely in the range of where the next logical shade would be according to it. Sometimes it needs tweaks. The green probably needs a couple more tweaks... high-saturation green shading has a tendency to suck.
Time to never port this.

In my opinion you shouldn't change something. For me looks very well like this.

Hello fellow brother in christ!
I think this is very well done, the colors are the same as in the original, and this would make a great mini level
