2.0 is a continuation of 1.3. While 38-A is a clone of 1.3 as much as I know what is 38-A and whom the developer is. Sorry for delay answer. 38-A is more advanced in the first version, 1.4.1. Everyone blames the developer that it needs a chinese PC. While 1.4.2/1.4.3 has no longer need the chinese PC. So, 2.0 is developed by another programmer (Horikawa Otane, I think) but is the "official" continuation of Redigit's 1.3 version, while SMBX 1.4 is an unofficial successor of 1.3 developed by 5438A38A and now by Wohlstand and Kevsoft. Yes but 1.4.1, 1.4.2 and 1.4.3 are developed by the same team that developes PGEEnjl wrote:2.0 is by a team of devs. Horikawa is the leader. 38A is only by 5438A38A and no other devs. It is also a completely different engine.
It's been said a few times before, but we are intending to include most if not all features from 38A into 2.0. However, it will take some time because we can't just port them from 38A, being that it's a completely different engine and we don't have access to the source code anyway, and because we want to spend some time making them work well.
