honestly I haven't thought it to be a big deal since two years ago; now I just joke about how absurd people look when they do it for literally no reason. And no I'm not talking about BossEdit8: The Post-Count Crusader (tm).

God, this forum I used to be admin at, there were about five people who were OBSESSED with post count (mostly the founder lmao). It got ridiculous to the point to where we had to disable certain user's abilities to increase post count because of how many useless posts and threads they were making. Yeah, they raged, but they didn't obsess over post count after that. =P

I think it might be the suspense of the ranks of us not knowing what is what and what is coming up next which hurts i guess. I want to know what is next.

Or they want popularity from it, knowing how they have the highest of something on the forum. Not so much the suspense of the next post rank.

However, in this case for the forum I was an admin at, the founder said he was doing it to make the forum appear active.

This place it quite active. So it might be the popularly or it. For me it is the suspense.

You earn popularity by different stuff. I don't consider having a high rank makes someone popular. Bossedit is already well-known by his videos as example.

Rip I missed the 1337 rank ;-;

Anyway, there are some very respected users here with low post count. Ignoritus, for example, only has about 300 iirc

Plot twist: There is a Mother Brain rank, but it's after all of the player characters!

Inb4 we're all guessing that the next four ranks are the playable characters. I can safely say that Luigi will come last because you all like him so much.

Also, I don't think there's any way we can have Mother Brain as a rank because it's not animated, right? Gotta follow the trends. The Banned rank isn't animated because well, the user can't necessarily, uh, ANIMATE on the forums anymore amirite?!?!

I don't remember, But someone said King Boo is here, I think the Big Boo from SMW fits better on the ranks
