Because people are becoming more mature as they grew up.
No more edgy people but instead people who know what they are doing.
Though the last YTP I saw was from 5 months ago. The reality is kaleidoscopic, you just have to wait for something big to happen.

This sort of stuff sounds like it is indisputably kids' content, so this could be attributed to the new COPPA rules on YouTube. I only used to like YTPs when i was a kid, now i no longer find them funny nor good.

I wouldn’t say that youtube poop are dying. There are a lot of videos about this, it seems to me that they are being actively released now, but earlier they seemed to come out more often...

Camtasia 8/9, Audacity
With Camtasia you can both record your screen and edit your videos, it's kinda lacking in advanced editing options though... really lacking compared to Adobe software. Also I'm using Audacity for editing audio in rare cases.
Also Paint.NET if I want to create or change some image and put it in a video.
