There's also the game Town of Salem which is basically Mafia.
No, but did you know there's a temporary replacement that just started yesterday?
But it's not on this site, of course.

And how does that provide anyone with any sort of constructive or helpful information?

I agree with this.

I think you could be better off at those forums because there are new people over which means you can migrate there without bringing your bad reputation over with you (assuming of course your behavoir improves once there of course, otherwise you will develop a similar reputation you get here) and therefore give you an opportunity to start over without the others knowing your history of your previous behavoir.

I'm glad there's now a scroller at the signatures so it wouldn't cover up the entire webpage just for giant information and contents in the signatures. Either it could be a forum update that causes this or signatures by itself got edited by the admins but I would say it was an update in relation to phpBB.

The scroller kinda sucks cause when I click the mousewheel to faster scroll up or down a page there's now a massive area on the screen that locks scrolling within one user's signature.

It's only when you actually hit on the signatures with scrolling onto them though... it takes a bit of time to get used to it aswell since whenever my mouse is on the signatures with scrolling it will scroll inside the signature instead of the whole page.

You know what's better than a scrollbar, yet can still ensure signatures wont clutter the screen?

Actually lowering the signature size.

Ok, Joey, I have a question I really want to see answered as soon as possible.
A while ago you hosted a screenshots contest. People could submit screenshots as long as they fit certain requirements. The winners of this contest would then be used for some mysterious part of the official site. I myself made like fifteen of these screenshots and eventually the contest stagnated.

Now, I understand that programming whatever the fuck you want to use these screens for takes some time. But at least you could announce the winners right? Well, when I wanted to ask you this again recently I noticed the thread was locked and that you didn't say anything before locking the thready either. The question I have is rather straightforward. Did you abandon the project this contest was for? Because if you are still working on it, thats completely understandable as it might take some time to do what you want to do with the entries. But if you have given up on the project I would like you to just rank all the entries and call it a day. A metric fuckload of people submitted screens to this and I think we all deserve some results. Also, mind explaining the reasoning behind locking the topic? I'm really curious as to why that was necessary (I was actually making another entry).

Nobody ever said they'd be ranked.

I'm wondering that too. I don't really think it's coming back anytime soon, and when it does, it's probably gonna be revamped in some fashion or another, so that would probably require a new forum (Like how the level forum was), so archiving it would be logical imo.

The entire idea was to accept the good ones and reject the ones that aren't good. The goal was to get a large number of good submissions and not to rank them based on their arbitrary quality and reject those that only got 5.9/10 and not 6/10 in this nonexistent system.
So yes. I think the implication here was that they would not be ranked in detail further than "this one got accepted".

The reason the contest fell apart was because this wasn't mentioned earlier, rendering most submissions useless:

By then most people had stopped paying attention to the thread, and the others never made backups of their screenshots.

They could always edit the background manually, it's not that hard to do I think.

Well, Snessy, changing the subject, about the mafia question, from what I heard the GMs don't have any plans of revamping the mafia forum(I may be wrong though). It will come back, but it will take an undetermined ammount of time

These new announcements sound really exciting! I'm glad that feature episodes/graphics are coming back, they were such a cool part of the forums back in the day. I'm also excited to see what the new level system is gonna be like (I'm assuming it's gonna be kinda like what Jayoshi and Enjl suggested in the Motivation thread). Also, monthly updates is a great idea.
