SMBX 1.3.0.1

It's not made by Redigit or the developpers of 2.0. From what I've heard, Chinese people made it. So yeah, maybe you can call it a "hack". It's also still not supported here (meaning that you shouldn't post levels or episodes made with this built here), and some features of it are planned to be used in the official 2.0 (which is still to come, i.e. it's still in beta), from what I know.

SMBX 38A was made by 5438A38A. It is a completely new engine and will be supported in these forums in the future

SMBX 38A was made by 5438A38A. It is a completely new engine and will be supported in these forums in the future

I think it is more likely that the developers of 2.0 will try to implement the 1.4/38A features and not actually 38A itself.

when I open the game, the game crashes when in the loading screen.

Maybe your computer's fault? You can also try 2.0 and see if it works out better

The issue at hand is probably that your computer can't handle the engine, in which case it's either a very old computer, or you bought it at the nearest stationery, which I don't know why would you even consider such a thing. This however is an assumption of mine.

SMBX 2.0 is the latest fanmade version, but 1.3.0.1 is the latest official one. As of now, I don't think neither of these are getting updated right now.

1.3.0.1. is the final offical version made by Redigit, while the community had released a fan-made update called SMBX 2.0.

Joey surely said that 2.0 is gonna be the front page thing once it's finalized. So you CAN say that it's gonna be 1.3's official successor.

Wrong, 1.3 was the last official version made by Redigit.
