Do you really think 2.0 disables it? You're wrong.

We'll probably be able to add similar features.

When you launch it from the new launcher you can't go directly to battle levels. You have to start an episode and then quit.

Only if the episode has an intro level I think. Sometimes it doesn't.

Truth be told, I can't wait for the full version of SMBX 2.0. This way, for example, I could use custom sounds without much issue. (The thing that bugged me about the sound files that came with SMBX was that they were all ZSNES-quality, ergo, rather choppy. In addition, my attempts at using custom sound files in version 1.3.0.1 isn't going over so well, since some sound files won't evem play even though they're in the main sound folder, and I was told that by using LunaLua I could get around that.)

Are you using an .ini file entitled "sounds" to add the sounds to your level? Do you have the most recent build of LunaLua?

Which build would that be?

0.7.3 Full or the Nightly Dev Build.

It was implemented forever ago - his problem probably lies in his .ini file.

The next version of the beta was delayed a couple days. Might get it out tonight or tomorrow. If not those days, definitely the weekend.
I would like to ask friendly, when the final version of SMBX 2.0 is probably ready to download. Could it be ready in march, april or probably later?
Please excuse that question, but I'm looking forward very much on the final version of this software.
Take the time, that you and your team need.

Joey, SMBX 2.0 will launch in March or April? The next beta SMBX 2.0 in the coming weekend? Can't wait for this final version. I expect more news from SMBX 2.0!

Thank you Horikawa Otane.

Joey has no idea. I'm the one you want to ask on this.
SMBX 2.0 will launch when it launches. Some recent forum events that I'm not allowed to talk about yet threw a MAJOR wrench in the development cycle. So the full release is likely delayed at least until that's all resolved. And we won't know how long that will take until later. Right now the ball's out of my court - I'm waiting on more information. There's nothing I can do but wait.
The next beta is likely coming this weekend (maybe Monday, since that's part of my weekend). I have a couple things I need to finish and then I can push it out.
You lie more than the common US politican.
Just stop working on this. It's never gonna be finished and it will suck donkeyballs. I have no idea who thought this "2.0" (which is FAR FUCKING AWAY from a 2.0!) was good idea, but it isn't. Pointless, worthless. Needs to be done from scratch instead of you raping the software. You have no fucking idea what you're doing.
Don't say that to Horikawa, she is making this project and she but a lot of work con this...
Also if you want to play an unofficial versión of SMBX, try SMBX 1.4.2 instead of SMBX 2.0...
And a project takes a lot of time to be finished dude, and she is alos modificating the software, to make things easier...

This probably isn't the case, but wouldn't it be a big parade-rainer if Redigit informally "cease-and-desisted" LunaDLL?

Redigit isn't planning on interfering with our development of his game. When I talked to him he actually seemed kind if impressed. If anything, he'll help us. And he's possibly willing to give us what we've always wanted...
