LOL, its weird how a project as popular as this was cancelled.
Would anyone be interested in creating the rest of this with me? I mean, someone needs to finish it, so why not?
Well, despite obviously being on hiatus and nearly dead, nobody said this was cancelled and buried for good.
Granted, Valtteri is not around anymore, all level designers are either gone too or busy with their own stuff (including PixelPest who is a 2.0 dev and also does Boom Boom Evolution). Nobody has been hired into the group for more than a year.
If you're really excited for doing something, all you can do is asking staff about giving you or others the position. But it stands as a fact that this project won't be disclosed to the public, unfortunately.
Tbh this project isn't very interesting. A lot of the Levels are repetitive romps with the most interesting thing in them being custom graphics. It's a bit of an improvement on TI2 but it honestly isn't that great, compared to actually good episodes. Not to mention there hasn't been any discussion in the TI3 forum since April so it's safe to assume this project will most likely never be finished
The levels and the world map look interesting enough for me to want to play them, and if the project is given up then it still means that a lot of hard work will go to waste.
Since the video only specified a year for the release and didn't meet that deadline, and now that Valtteri has pretty much moved on to other things outside of this community is it time to kill the TI3 project and release what's been done over the past few years or so of development?
It's very unlikely that this will be completed, but as GhostHawk said it may be time to release what's done so that the work that was put in didn't go to waste.
