Oh, it's like Scarfy from Kirby, like it has a cute side and a pure evil side. It looks nice, considering you're working on a 8-bit project it doesn't need that much shading.

@Natsu Yea it's inspired by Scarfy
Also here's a enemy I made based on a drawing by a six year old.
Meet...
Yabbit
Yabbit one of Eero's most feared enemies, normally found in cold, icy environments and can also survive in the vacuum of space.
Once you come across it, it will proceed to seek you out untill you out chase it, a task that's not as easy as it seems
I will be working with this guy a lot, finding a way to make him heat seeking(following you, every direction you go). And posing what latest progress I have on him here. At least spriting wise.
Want this guy to be an iconic enemy of my upcoming series.
What do you guys think? Feedback appreciated!

Maybe increase the contrast on your sprites a bit and make Yabbit brighter?

The contrast is like that on purpose, it's not smb3 silly ;p.
Or maybe it's the color scheme in general you dont like?
edit: nvm I sound stupid, ignore this ^
yea, i'll try it enji

Are you implying SMB3 and the colours you use are the only ones that exist? All I want is to be easily able to tell the details on your sprite when breezing past it in a level, which is not really possible as of now.

@Creasion: The new colour choice looks way better than before, definitely 8-bit looking. Something seems to be happening to his eye though, kinda creepy.
@PROX: Nice door tho. I like the shading, it reminds me of SCP Containment Breech for some reason, maybe because I've played some of it recently. Keep up the good work!

it's supposed to be the X-Naut moonbase from Paper Mario TTYD so yeah I guess you could say that.

@Liraxus
Looking great, should add some custom fog for a more spooky look.
Also, the slope has a weird drop off when its connected to land.
As you can see the particles will be its own separate thing due to their different speeds, your thoughts?

@Creasion: Actually I think Lixarus is going for a different ambient with that tileset.
As for your NPC, it definitely looks more menacing than before. That spark looks really interesting, what are you planning to use it for?
@Liraxus: Nice, really nice. Coincidentally I'm listening to one of the
The 8th Annual VLDC's tracks that would so fit a level with that atmosphere.

Hopefully, I can find a way to either make it an npc and use luna to attach it to Yabbit, or ill use the fan backgrounds and attach it to Yabbit for a cool trail effect.
Your thoughts?
