in this thread:
i might have said this in a previous post, and i'm sorry for repeating myself if i did, but i'm glad that the series is coming to an end. scott can go work on other cool things, and both sides of this "is fnaf good or bad" conflict can finally shut the fuck up.
like my god, this series is not the next coming of christ nor is it the antichrist.

I've been watching Markiplier play the demo and I must say, I find FNAF4 scarier than FNAF1. It's rather well done (although, I hear there's a bug with the 'breathing' sound that makes the game a lot harder) and plenty atmospheric. I can't tell if this one expands on the killer or the bit of '87. Judging by only night 2, it's rather hard to tell.

ya nice joke mate there's probably going to be some revival or some shit so the guy can make more money

it's literally the prime example on why the gaming market is horrendous
if you compare the sales of the games to the sales of other indie titles with like years of work and effort put into them, and of infinitely better quality it's honestly just sad

There most likely won't be. FNAF 4 is advertised as the final chapter. You know, final? The last one? As in, the end?
You probably would have said the same thing about CoD back when it was relevant as a scapegoat.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that others can't. Also are you seriously saying FNAF is effortless? I'm no game creator, but I don't imagine making all of the rooms, models, and animations for each game is a cakewalk. The only sad thing here is you, m8, because you're purposefully going onto a thread for a thing you hate and yelling at people who like it.
I'm not saying you don't have to like the series, or that it doesn't have flaws. I'm saying that every single post you've made here has, at least in my eyes, made you look like a tool, and you need to stop. I mean you don't see me going on a Freedom Planet thread and telling everyone the game is terrible, or whatever.
tl;dr please shut the fuck up and go away

FNAF3 was also supposed to end the series, but it didn't, so your point is pretty irrelevant.
You probably would have said the same thing about CoD back when it was relevant as a scapegoat.
Actually, i wouldn't, because CoD is made by a triple A company, and while i'm not a fan of the games, they've got pretty good quality.
Not to mention 75% of FNAF's popularity comes from the fact that big youtube names did let's plays of the game.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that others can't. Also are you seriously saying FNAF is effortless? I'm no game creator, but I don't imagine making all of the rooms, models, and animations for each game is a cakewalk.
First of all, i legit dare you to tell me that the models are of high quality, second, the first 2 games didn't even use models, they just used images. Third, even if the rooms did have effort put into them, it's a very small ammount of one-screen rooms. Fourth, it's not like half of the examples i gave didn't have to go through those processes. Spriting an /entire/ game isn't easy either.
The only sad thing here is you, m8, because you're purposefully going onto a thread for a thing you hate and yelling at people who like it.
I literally have not yelled at anyone in this thread, i'm just stating shit, my all caps outbreak either wasn't directed at anyone in specific.
I'm not saying you don't have to like the series, or that it doesn't have flaws. I'm saying that every single post you've made here has, at least in my eyes, made you look like a tool, and you need to stop.
tool of what? i'm stating shit that comes directly from me. and by your logic you shouldn't be defending the game either because "it makes you look like a tool"
I mean you don't see me going on a Freedom Planet thread and telling everyone the game is terrible, or whatever.
so? you can do that if you want, it's not relevant to my actions on this thread.
tl;dr please shut the fuck up and go away

First of all, I'd like to apologize for that colorful tl;dr. I admit, I let my emotions get the better of me there. Now then:
Nien wrote:FNAF3 was also supposed to end the series, but it didn't, so your point is pretty irrelevant.
I don't recall Scott ever saying that FNAF 3 was meant to end the series. Yes, it had an ending screen, but so did the previous two games. People probably just assumed it was the end because there was technically only one animatronic.
Nien wrote:i legit dare you to tell me that the models are of high quality
The models are all very high quality. :v
Nien wrote:second, the first 2 games didn't even use models, they just used images.
The images still had to be created in a separate program like Maya.
Nien wrote:Third, even if the rooms did have effort put into them, it's a very small ammount of one-screen rooms.
The amount of rooms changes nothing about their quality.
Nien wrote:Fourth, it's not like half of the examples i gave didn't have to go through those processes. Spriting an /entire/ game isn't easy either.
I never said spriting wasn't hard.
Nien wrote:my all caps outbreak either wasn't directed at anyone in specific.
It was still unnecessary and could be misconstrued as hate pretty easily.
That's all I'm going to say to you about this, because I think we can both agree to disagree at this point, and I don't want to start an internet slapfight any more than you probably do. Again, though, I'd like to reiterate that I seriously don't know why you came to this thread in the first place.
Here, have an apology puppy:
you have been tricked

there are actually two apology puppies in here

Nien, I kind of agree with you, but I just wanted to point out that pre-rendered models are still models. Admittedly that's not saying much, because that's putting it closer to the likes of Super Mario RPG or Donkey Kong Country than modern tech and those games are ~2 decades old (and even those games had an assload of animations in comparison).
Anyway... yeah. It may seem unfair and outright shitty, but sometimes a game with what seems like moderate to no effort compared to other games by deserving, hardworking people, just has the X-factor that those other games don't, and hits gold. That's 100% what happened with FNAF. I don't know how anyone could even argue that. However I think it's possible to reconcile this truth with a person who likes the game, because there's still arguable value in games that perfectly embody the "less is more" approach. There's a lot of mystery and intrigue in FNAF and it's also a pretty original incarnation of horror. I don't think I've seen anything like it before.
That being said, it feels like it's been milked to death and I certainly didn't expect a fourth one at all.

It just baffles me that three games released in such quick succession still had enough interest and momentum behind it to release a fourth. This just seems incredibly rare and possibly unprecedented. It's certainly not something I've seen before, but before now I would have expected people would be more wary and cautious of games for which that happened.
At the same time, unlike 3, FNAF 4 manages to at least look fresh and keep people on their toes. It seems like a better note to end on than 3, at least.

Just 1 question about FN4F, Why the hell does plushtrap freak me the fuck out more than anything else in the goddamned entire series. WHY?!?!
Scott put in alot of work into this one. And also, spoiler alert...
I did not expect the origins of the Bite of '87 to be here. People were thinking it might happen but wow... WOW!!!
Did anyone play it?

Sinem, could you do a poll asking which FNaF is the best?
And plus for all of you haters, Scott is fighting back
"The only reason most people hate games like this is because they are successful and some people don't like successful people and that will get them nowhere in life".

Hmm yeah, but that sounds real aggressive without the full context. Try posting that next time, without a stupid gimmicky hashtag (hard to tell when people are serious about those or not these days) or whatever the hell you kids are doing these days.
HERE is the full context.

I remember seeing this before. It's nice to see that Scott hasn't been changed for the worse by all the money and fame he's getting, and that he's still a good guy.

The storyline(and anything related to that) of the FNAF series is something that makes me interested. Sure some of the game plays weren't as great as others(perspectives), but at least it's unique in a way.
