You know, if you all want to prove that this thing is actually out of control and you're not just trying to pick a fight, you could put your money where your mouths are and provide examples of unprompted Marioposting in other threads that haven't already been addressed by the staff.

Go to your quick links, select "New Posts" and check the latest posts in each of the threads there besides this one for any aggressive use of the rhetoric. If you find something, take a screenshot and post it here. That'd lend a lot more credibility to your arguments than just saying "no you're the fakers you're the hypocrites you're a cult I don't like this joke so it should be banned!!!!" over and over.

I'm sorry, but I could see no other way to make my point, because you didn't seem to understand before! Stop saying we're ruining your forum and actually justify your complaint, Supershroom.

This is just turning into a giant unnecessary arguement at this point. Everyone involved that's not arguing is having fun doing it.

This is getting annoying so I'm going to say this one more time:

If you don't like this thread or the whole Mariohead movement, then stay away from the thread. It is one thread, and notice how the Marioheads have stuck to this one thread but yet they're still being bombarded by people who can't take a joke. This is really not as big of a problem as some of you are making it out to be. The group of people known as Marioheads who are simply trying to have a little fun are not the problem. The people who have constantly flamed and spreaded negativity on this thread even after being told to stop are the problem. This is not the Mariohead-me talking, this is me speaking as a moderator. This has already been addressed by me, Pseudo, and Joey, as well as many others who have kept saying to stay off the thread if you don't like it, and I think I speak for the rest of us when I say that this shouldn't be repeated a millionth time. Thank you.

Okay, so here's why this topic didn't work as well as it should have:

We have a crowd of people that decided to take this thread seriously and get offended over what was being presented in it, despite the fact that it was a joke. These people, for whatever reason, did not get the joke and/or took it personally. This includes everyone who got angry, as well as everyone who didn't get angry but tried to reason with the people who started this thread and/or prove them wrong.

And then we have the crowd of people that got angry back in defense of this thread. I get that it's frustrating but that's no grounds for you to disrespect users here.

All in all, this got out of hand and there are people from both sides who were in the wrong.

To everyone asking about archival: the archives forum is for good threads, and this one just has too much bad going on in it that I'm hesitant to archive it. We'll see what happens, but don't get your hopes up.
