Damm roy is pretty good, better then marth if used right, ryu is quite powerful too. They might be top tier.

Here's a few more videos of me Sm4shing:

Me screwing around as Shulk, my ex-main
Spoiler: show
Attempting to Ryu, who is SUPER fun to play as (no one will ever take my Luky's place though <3):
Spoiler: show
And a video of me attempting to mix up my approaches a little bit (it ended up being more like my current play style, so I need to work better at that XP):

Ryu is very weird and unpredictable, when considering that the same move can have two totally different ranges depending on how you mash the buttons. I want Roy and Lucas badly. He was my main in melee and Lucas was one of my mains in Brawl (besides kirby). I think that Lucas might be demoted from A tier to B tier just because he has a different PK Fire than he did in Brawl.

Huh? Lucas' PK Fire works pretty much exactly the same as it did in Brawl, although he lost a couple of advanced techs that could be used with it previously.

Also, Roy is awesome. I've never been super interested in playing Marth in any game, least of all Sm4sh, but they did some wonderful things with this character. All of his attacks and combos are a lot of fun. He's very well-built; I can definitely see him being a high-tier this time around, which is great considering his shittiness in Melee.

I'd like it if Lucario were my main, but unfortunately I'm only good enough with him to have him as my secondary choice. My main ended up being Mario, which I don't think is actually very common, though I suppose it might be. I don't know enough people to figure out which mains are most common, though I suppose I could probably just look it up.

As much as I wanted to switch from Mega Man to Ryu, I couldn't resist maining Roy. I mean, I can't exactly use him anywhere else while I have every Street Fighter game to use Ryu in. Roy's real good anyway, he has a great grab game and his sweetspot is really easy to land.

I swear that Lucas also had the fire trap thingy that Ness' PK fire did.
FUNFACT: All of Lucas' specials and final smash are all based off of attacks that Lucas cannot learn in Mother 3. Kumatora learns all the PK elemental attacks. Lucas learns PK Love.

It definitely didn't; it had that knockback effect just like in Smash 4. Ness has a custom variant of PK Fire that makes it work like Lucas' version, just like his other B attacks.

Ganondorf is fun to use on regular Smash, but he's terrible online. Yeah, he has a lot of power and all that, but the characteristic that really makes him fall flat is that he's slow. Most people online use fast fighters to get quick and easy attacks in, and it's generally hard to avoid as Ganondorf.

Ganondorf exists to generate salt. When you land a Warlock Punch or even better a GANONSLAM you just know the enemy is salty as fuck.

This is about what it looks like whenever I Ganon, lol

Here's another match, this time against a Wario, against whom I have virtually no MU EXP. That said, I think this match went really well =P

He used to be my main in Brawl, but now he's my secondary. Mega Man is my main now.

He's pretty great, and I've played him a fair amount (though he's not very close to being my main, that's Peach with Ness and Lucas secondary as of now). I really appreciate the buffs he's been given since Brawl, even if they're not immediately apparent. He's a definite combo powerhouse, almost Mario tier in that regard.

I don't want this to sound bad or anything, but is every Jigglypuff player on For Glory a Hungrybox wannabe? Every one I've fought against does the exact same thing, no matter who, what, where, or when I play them, and they get really easy and predictable in a hurry. Only a minute handful have used different playstyles, but they still get predictable very fast. I fought two different Jiggs users in a row this afternoon and they both used the exact same fight pattern.

Not hating on Jigglypuff she's a great character and can do some insane stuff and kill very early with the right player, but I've literally fought 2 Jigglypuff players that made the matches difficult, and that was months ago.

If Hungrybox was "easy and predictable", he probably wouldn't be the 5th best Melee player in the world, 6th at worst. I don't understand why everybody's always hating on him. Jiggs is fantastic in Melee, and HBox is a fantastic player.

On that subject, Jiggs is not fantastic in Sm4sh, I don't think. In fact, as someone who tried maining her for the first several months of Sm4sh's release (Melee Jiggs is my waifu), I'd say she's probably not much of a better character than she was in Brawl, honestly. She might have been buffed a lot, and she might have very strong kill moves, but she really has no way of dealing with enemy shields, which is a big problem in this game in particular since shields are so good. Pound is probably supposed to alleviate that, but it doesn't really do enough damage to come close to a shield break in one hit. Her throws aren't good enough to justify it either, and she overall can just get punished really easily for landing aerials against a shield. I don't think she's very good at all, though I wish she was.

Nearly everyone on For Glory is super predictable, regardless of character. Jiggs is just super mediocre and only has few reliable options, so she stands out more, I think.

The problem with For Glory is that, contrary to what one would think about a "competitive" game mode, For Glory is about as competitive as a box of old socks. Not only is there limited stage selection, but the lack of a good matchmaking system (unlike Splatoon) leads to amazing players being matched up with six-year-olds who discovered Kirby's down-b for the first time yesterday and are ready to spam the hell out of it. I recommend using SmashLadder.com if you want to improve and can't find any tournies IRL. It's a matchmaking system that some guy made that's attracted really good players. Even Hungrybox himself is on it.
