Level Contest 9: The Autumn Contest

This looks really interesting. So, will all the contest levels be combined into 1 episode? I think this is a cool idea. Also, looks like there's a lot of levels too. Can we (the players) rate levels too, or just the "judges"?

Yes. That's what's been done with all of the other previous level contests, I believe.

Actually, after the tiers are unveiled (but not before then, to make that clear), people can (and mostly do) post their contest submissions into the Levels forum. At which point, anyone is free to review the levels as they see fit. It won't have any impact on the contest results, sure, but anyone can still review them.

I'm afraid I have to drop out as well. I just realised that I have college work and my level is long (but not at the status of MECHDRAGON777) and I won't be able to finish it in time because I've just done the midpoint and I can't rush my level, especially as the tileset I'm using only allows decoration one tile at a time, rather than using 32x32 tiles. That sucks for me, because my level has an awesome gimmick.

No, it doesn't. The timeframe as of how long it take to finish your Level doesn't matter as long as it isn't very, very long and extremely difficult.

Then I read that wrong. Should of read that message better.

The time it takes as of how long it take to finish a Level by production doesn't really matter actually.

The outcome counts, quite obviously. Time merely determines the likelihood of reaching a high rank. Of course what you spend your time with when designing a level has a bigger influence.

But time itself doesn't matter, no. If you spend 10 hours doing shit then the result will be the same.

of course it doesnt matter how long it took you to make a level. i made a leven in 4 hours and it landed in pretty good.
