In the next version, the game will start faster, just like the editor and the launcher?

Hello. I really liked this project. But I want to ask one stupid question. How to change the screen resolution in the game? There were no graphics settings in the game client. I would also like to know if the game has V-sync support? When the character runs fast, the screen shivers like jelly.
No vsync, as far as I'm aware. I've never experienced screen-shivering either, though, so that surprises me.
To change the resolution of the window, you can drag the edges. There's no box for window sizes to select from (though I suppose it would probably not be too difficult to add as long as they're multiples of 400x300...)
Any fool can pull the corners of the window :)
I mean, I want the game to not be 4:3 in fullscreen mode. I saw screenshots of the widescreen SMBХ gameplay. This is not very important for me, just a whim. I just want the full screen game to completely occupy its space.

Ah, I see. I think the widescreen stretch toggle is on F4. If you mean true, unstretched 16:9... we don't have that currently. Maybe in the future, as a per-episode kinda thing (since a different screen size constitutes different level layouts).

All I really want for the next update are some more powerups, mini mushroom, penguin and propeller suit, super acorn, blue shell, weird mushroom, the baby yoshis from NSMBU, the red and green coin rings and some gimmicks from SMM2, etc.

you posted the exact same thing in LunaLua Help, and people already answered you. Don't expect it for this game.

Yeah, well, I just feel like they could be added one way or another, but it's ok if these things don't, they're just suggestions. Sorry if this is inconvenient.

Having an annoying input-related issue. I use a PS4 controller with the PS4 wireless USB adapter, and sometimes the controller is plugged into another USB port directly. The issue occurs regardless of if the controller is plugged in by cable, the wireless adapter is plugged in or both.

Whenever I enter a warp on the world map that warps instantly to another world map position, I end up at the destination for a single frame only to enter the warp there without the usual delay and end up where I started, as though the input counted twice. Pressing the keyboard key to enter the warp works correctly.

This has been addressed already and isn't related to your specific controller. Effectively, controller input is actually delayed by one tick, so SMBX considers you to still be holding the button when the warp completes, which begins the warp back in the opposite direction. This will be fixed in patch 2.

Will the Hammer Brother World Map Levels return in the Future? I really hadn't noticed before that they are gone.

They were never formally added, but one of the things that were mistakenly had their sprites left in for pal release. They're still WIP and will get finished when the world map overhaul happens.

Okay. I just having placed them in MH2, though never tested it
Ingame. Will they move around like in SMB3?

They were never finished, so no. The world map doesn't natively support that at the moment, so it would be a major hassle to add generically.

I understand. If they aren't make the Jump in the end, is there a chance for another "one play"
level to be added?

Remove the link to the level file through lua after beating the level.

Thanks. I'll use it, if I'll finish MH1.5, before anything comes out.

Might as well post a few of my ideas for future updates here:

-Dummy Powerups: Basically exact duplicates of existing powerups such as the fire flower that would allow for the creation of custom powerups while at the same time retaining vanilla powerups. BrawlEx clone engine meets powerups in essence.

-Unlock characters on world map: Items you can obtain within levels that unlock the ability to switch to certain characters on the mapscreen. For example, Rosalina is locked until you obtain the item that unlocks her, then you can switch to her on the mapscreen.

-Ability to change which projectiles are spawned by NPCs.

-4 Player mode? Would likely be impossibly difficult to implement though, probably not even worth it in the end.

-Battle mode makes a return?

-Waluigi playable? I know he's already a costume for NB, but since his moveset isn't immediately obvious, it would be a great opportunity to create a character that really feels unique.

Also: Are there any plans for additional updates beyond 2.0 Full? like an update 2.1, or can we anticipate 2.0 to be the final, definitive version of SMBX?

A custom powerup range is actually planned for when the devs expand the PowerUp Array

Would be cool actually

Some NPCs can do that, but would be cool for anothers

There might be a 4 player mode, I and TayCamGame talked with Hoeloe about that in Codehaus

Battle mode is going to return when multiplayer is fixed, for full version

Also cool idea

SMBX2 1.0 is not the final update, just the full non beta version, the development is planned to continue after that

Unlocking characters sounds cool, I don't know if that could be done with LUA right now...

The changing what an NPC spawns can be done with custom NPCs, like for example you can make level-specific code for the Elite Koopas to throw exploding crates instead of fireballs, or have them throw bombs, bearvors, and so on.

There's still a slot left over, and maybe Waluigi would be Psycho Waluigi?

Yes, Lua can be used to unlock characters, and fairly trivially, honestly.
