There is something I would like to see later though (maybe 2.1). How about shallow and steep tracks like those in SMB3 and SMW? I know that Valtteri made some replacing the original, but it would be cool seeing them alongside each other.

Why do you want to wait for 2.1 when it could come in 2.0?

Good point, but I don't want to wear down the development team.
Besides, they have a lot going anyway.

TBH I don't think it would be too much extra work.

Truth be told I have NO idea how the rail system works and am unsure if adding new types of rails is possible with our current technology. I think at minimum it requires another hook into background objects, though I could be wrong.

It'd be doable with some memory analysis and collision hooks but... not pleasant and a lot of work.

I don't like the system of level editor, it's so complicated

Try using the SMBX-like GUI

Although it may appear daunting, it's much easier to use than thr older editor after you get used to it. Plus it has an undo button and much more things that the old editor lacked. You can read a bit more about it here:

The note: Latest patch of PGE Editor fixes this, and you will have more friendly menu while Integration config pack is active and it is requesting legacy engine to use for tests:
(without integration pack default regular testing menu will be shown)

I sent it to everywhere and you able to download it and replace in SMBX 2.0's folder.

If by official you mean developed by the same person, Redigit, no. If you mean full version, not either.

2.0 is official in the sense that it's supported by this site, the largest SMBX forum. However, as others have said it's not developed by Redigit, the original developer of SMBX, so it's not official in that way.

I guess once SMBX 2.0 is complete there's nothing hindering it from being just as "official" as the original SMBX / the current 1.3.0.1

Sounds great, when do you think the final version will release?
