Yeah I'm in agreement with that. I do need to redo a lot of things in regard to the tileset. I'm able to tolerate the fill, but the edges definitely need work imo. Also your old tileset still looks pretty nice even to this day. But yeah I'll definitely fix some things up.

I like the shape of the edges on the right tileset. That general shape looks unique and is something that can definitely be expanded upon.
Regarding my old tileset I still like the thwomps a lot and I think cross-checking with mine would perhaps help improve yours a bit as well, but the rest of the tileset is a bit too miniscule and detailed for my liking. The direction yours is going is definitely much more "Mario".

Thx man, I appreciate the feedback. Well the increase in contrast definitely improved it, though now I think it's a bit noisy, so I might tweak it a bit. Also I finally finished those thwomps. MAN they took a long time to do.

Is it just me or is the mouth of the thwomp shifted ever so slightly to the left?

It's definitely not you. I need to fix that

Sorry for double posting, but I added more to this tileset. I finally finished the fill, or rather the fill with the deceased thwomps in them. I also fixed the mouth on the thwomps so they're no longer lopsided. I'm still working on the deceased bgo thwomps, but I got a few of them done:

Yeah, I'm ALMOST finish with my custom Sega Genesis/Mega Drive-style Mario sprites! Just gonna work on Tanooki Mario set.

So here's Hammer Bro Mario: (Made with at least 14 colors from the Genesis color palette)

So whatcha think so far? I'll accept all feedback as long as its away from either "GOD TIER Sprites", or "WORST SPRITES IN SMBX HISTORY!!!!!!!!!"! ^^"

It looks good, the back sprite needs a little work and the front sprite too, the crouch holding frame looks a bit weird but it is okay as well.

Thanks man! I'll give it some thought when I work on the Tanooki Mario sprites.

I'm making something new. This was made off of inspiration from other tilesets I've seen throughout the internet.

that would be too stressful. I work on these things pretty slowly. I think a job would be too fast paced for something like this.

Oh trust me, I'm far from that lol. If anything, I get a lot of inspiration off of the internet and see how other people shade things. That's how I did my living tissue tileset you requested way back.
